The new owner wants me to finish the motor, he's going to install it in a 57 Bel-Air ..

The 496" build is going together slowly due to waiting on parts and tools to show up ..
Some parts has came in ..

I'm not seeing any balancing holes ..
When I placed the order I asked to have it externally balanced ...
Pulled the invoice and no mention of that requested service is on it .. ?

Had to order the damper and a flywheel from them ...
They could had done the job there ...

But .....

All good, the local shop can do ...

I'm going to put the block back in the boring stand ...
I decided to take out .020" more meat ... Finish bore will be right at 4.330", with the 4.250" stoker crank cubes will be right at 500 ...

Dang Big Bear crap ...

Speaking of 'Bear Crap' we have this tidbit of a warning !

Installing the new balancer didn't go very well ..
Needed to have it on the crank in order to do the balance job ..

Since the press fit was out in left field, needed to find out why ??

Compared the measurements' to GM stock parts and found the balancer's hole .0023" smaller ..
Had to order a ball hone to open up the hole ...

Could had sent it back, but didn't want to deal with the red-tape and waiting on the shipping ..
