New to the Forum, but not new to IH Parts or one of the many folks that have helped me over the last 20 years on my '69 800A, including old Mr. Scout in Oregon, some fellow from Colorado that helped me with electronic wipers years ago and many others.

I am in Eastern Idaho....Scout has been in the family since new, purchased in Eugene Oregon back in 1968....it was our 2nd Scout and has never let us down.

Haven't done major mods over the years but did do a front disc and power steering addition quite a few years ago out of an old Chevy C10 (and Scout II master/proportioning), added rollbars and last year did the Suspension/Lift from IH. Also got rid of the old saddle fuel tanks and added a cell in the rear.

Car will be in the family forever with 4 boys who will get to fight over it after they peel my stiff fingers from the wheel someday. I have read this (and other long gone) Forums over the years, invaluable information. Last year....had to rebuild the front differential (had a factory locker as near as we could tell) and thank goodness, old Mr. Scout had the right part to convert to an open diff still sitting in his barn.

All I need now.....is the large factory steering wheel is just too much when driving down the pavement with the power steering and I would like to swap it out for a smaller wheel that will just "slide" on. Thanks for all of your help over the years....sorry I am just "joining" the group.

hey all,
i;m new here i found the site by searching for travelalls or travelettes for sale. we own an old rundown church camp and are trying to fix it up. we are looking for a few things, one would be a running travelall or travelette to become the mascot of still waters retreat center. we will use it to pick people up at the airport, pick them up down river after their float trips, take wounded warriors hunting/fishing, ect.
second we are looking for a cool restore project that we could fix up and raffle off to help raise support in restoring our camp. would be cool to get any old ih donated to the camp in order to restore scout, pickup, travelall, travellet....
thanks for the add, and may the lord bless you,
dan

Thanks For Having me

Workin on my 75 scout. googled a couple questions about scouts and this site came up each time. Looking forward to visiting with you guys.

My name is Mike D. and I live in Southern Maine. My family owned an IH Truck Dealership for most of my adolescent and adult life and my dad work for IH prior to that. I purchased a very correct 63 Scout 80 last summer and I love the fact that I never fail to get positive comments any time I drive it.

Hello! I've owned and daily driven my '67 Travelette for about a year and absolutely love it! Was turned onto this thread when I ordered the disc brake conversion kit from IH Parts last week. My truck, Henrietta, is in great shape, but looking to make some upgrades, and diving into this forum seems like a great place to start!

New to the site. Located in GA just below Macon. I've felt alone down here by myself. Glad I found you.
Looking to restore my 68 Travelette 1200C. Right now, I have the wide 6 lug wheels with 16.5 tires. The rims can't be found out there and the 16.5 tires are becoming rare too. Would have to change out the spindles to a different lug pattern. Right now, I'm just scratching my head or something else.
