Barret Lake this year

anybody have a cb antenna mount? Or does anybody know where to find one locally? Count nico and chris in. We will be 5. Leaving earl fri am. Chris

Go to radio shack, if they don't have one you can go to the truck stop at flag city, hwy12 and hwy5 and get one.

Truck stops are a great bet for cb equipment.

Craig, could you bring your fs road maps? The guide books tend to be vauge when it comes to the back roads.

This is going to be a big group. Be sure to bring plenty of gas and spares. Im sure we'll enough beer on hand.

I asked about those and the fs was unsure of there own website. I got an old fashion one on yellow paper as there are still free.

That's when you need to explain to them to pull there head out of there ass.

Also why we have 4 new fs folks on the con this year, so we have folks that can be educated on the rules. Not make them up as they go.

Still not sure if I can make it :icon_sad: if I can Friday is out forsure. So.. I was thinking about heading up hiway 88 sat early am. Any idea where the group might be ? (I think I need a ham licens) I will post by Thursday on my plans forsure. Joe

We had cell ph. Service on sb trail near the end. We can call you Friday night and give you an update if you decide to come up.

Sean, I will get a couple extra copies of the maps. There from aaa, its the one for the tahoe / sierra .

I almost got the Scout steet legal again. Just need to add mud flaps. The new bumper is built / painted / and installed.

youtube - tire carrier with hoist

Thanks for posting the pics of your tire carrier, I know who I won't be directly behind this wekend :icon_xd:

looks good and won't break your back.

I'm feeling good, I got the mud flaps installed and I fixed my ARB air pump, so now I'm street legal and have a front locker to boot. that bumper tire carrier took longer to finished then I thought

I'm sure the rest of you are busy fixing or getting everything ready too. I know cheese has been busy working on his junk.

I also put my top back on for this trip. Got the cb antenna moved and thats all done. So now its just the normal check list and then pack up Thursday after work.

Well have a steak or two for ya Joe, maybe next time.

Im excited for this trip. Its going to be nice to finally get out and really enjoy my Scout. Not sure im totally ready. Rear brakes still don't work right and I'm guessing that my four low engages properly now. Woo-hoo!

front, drivers brake caught on fire this morning. Yes, the rotor heated up enough to catch the caliper on fire. Looks like the Scout isn't going to make this trip.

Too bad. I will be coming back early, but I have an empty seat if you want it. Cage probably won't be completely done, but it will be better than the roll bar I had before.

What a bummer!! Not sure if you can get to my house with it tonight or tomorrow night, but I bet we could fix it with all the brake parts I have!

I had massive issues with the cheese (one thing after another) and was worried I might not make it, but I think everything has been worked out (fingers crossed lol)
