Barret Lake this year

About to go & cut her up now to get it to fit.

Tires will be this weekend. Just gotta help him dismount them.
I've got a list a mile long.

Good news is I'm off until the 22nd, however I will be gone the week of the 11th (camping/magic mountain/disneyland) .:confused5:

Looking at the pictures of loon lake last weekend it's not looking so good for the trail being open in June. We need to hit the 90's here in the valley quick or the snow will never melt.

Just in case anyone is going in later, I have class that Friday, so I won't be getting to the trailhead until late (10-ish).

I'm down for wherever...

Hopefully my junk will be done.

Ok, seems like we May need a plan b. Slick rock/deer valley/strawberry trip? There May be snow there too.
Taken 30 days ago on slick rock but it has snowed since.

Any thoughts?

I have the time off as well and will go too! Prefer barret if it is open if not we can do slick, deer and strawberry. If snow is an issue we will still have fun snow wheeling ;-) the other option would be to go over to the rubicon or?

This is all assuming I get a power steering pump bracket as the one in the cheese is broken beyond repair:shocked:

I thought you had a few spares in the side yard?

Oh you know I have spares because you have benefited from them, but it is murphy’s law that the spare I need is not the one I have lol found a smog pump bracket, but no power steering pump bracket!:incazzato:

Open to all options, even with the snow on slickrock I bet it won't be as cold as the last time we were there...just thinking about that trip makes my feet cold.

so who has Friday off? These three trails usually run from slick rock to deer valley to strawberrry. Im not opposed to running it backwards so those who don't have Friday off can meet us for d.v. And s.r.

4x4wire - slickrock & deer valley trails

I have Friday off, and the boss said I could go. I will probably do just Friday and Saturday and try and head back sat night or Sunday morning.
Now I just need to pick up some spare axle shafts....

Okay, after the dinner this week, we decided to plan on doing strawberry/deer valley/slick rock because of the weather and the likelihood that barret will still be closed. So, Friday the 25th of this month we plan on doing strawberry, Saturday dv, and Sunday slick rock.
Since I have never done any of these trails, and have no idea where they are,:confused5: someone post up some links of where we should meet up Friday.

Also, for a rough idea of whose going, post up if you plan on making it Friday and what time.

Here a pic of the area.

I know this is last minute, but they need 100 volunteers on the rubicon that weekend. They are looking to get any help people can offer in building water bars, they will have heavy equipment to do some of the heavy digging and the county will be there providing materials.
Last year I help out on a project and it was a lot of fun. It's hard work so most people help out a couple hours even though they May be there all day. So this is an option too. If you go slow the con is not that bad. Lot of good camping too.

Just got off the phone with the ranger station and they arent expecting barret to open up till after the July 4th holiday. Theres enough interest here for the strawberry to slick rock run.

We can meet at the end strawberry trail (off the 50) on Friday moring and go from there. Whos going and on what day?
