dear gawd those parts look nice! Curious, when you send stuff off to get coated, do you need to do all the masking of threads/ports and stuff, or does the place generally know what to avoid? I've never done anything like this before, but I foresee a lot of it in the near future :d
Thank you. Not sure about most of the powder coating companies out there, or what they would charge, but I have a good friend who has been working for a local shop(near me) for years. Which translates for a screaming deal on my part for the amount of work that was involved. They did all the work for masking off non painted surfaces and plugging up all holes(especially threaded holes) that do not get painted. Another added bonus is due to being engine parts and covered with years of grease and grime, before applying paint, they cook it in an oven at roughly 1,000 degrees, to burn off all the old crap. Here's a closer shot of the intake and bottom side of t-housing with the masking off. Btw - with this candy red, all these parts were sprayed and baked twice. First coat was silver and second coat was the red
