Hello all, I am new to the IH ownership fun. I am not new to auto repair, but have no experience with IH values.
I am here to determine if a 1971 1210 Travellette, 345, Holley 2bbl, 4sp, 8' bed, factory AC, rough body, one owner farm truck with 68000 miles when parked in a pasture 28 years ago, is worth bringing back to life? I have brought it home,, cleaned out the chaos and put a few days in to get all four hubs to turn freely, motor running. The brakes will need complete hardware and hydraulics, hoses replaced. The drums are rusted but salvageable, bearings seem smooth but have not pulled the hubs to inspect. The interior is amazingly intact and unmolested, but 50 years old. Overall this truck mechanically is untouched, rust-through at the windshield corners, but only surface rust on the rest. This is a long introduction so I will stop here and wait for any replies to see if pictures are desired or is this scrap.
Thank you for your time and any reply.
