I think I saw some of you heading back home yesterday.

Or at least I saw three trucks pulling trailers with scouts on board. One of the trailers had two scouts.

I was heading north on I-5 near kelso about 1:45 pm. I was driving my white '65 t-all.

We saw you heading north on I-5 in the white t-all. I think we also saw you hauling corn out of naches on Friday too.

The white d-max, sketchy trailer and (2) "scouts" would have been Mike roth and d-boy. So it was probably also jen and terry with girlscout and either john the powersports guy or kritin?? With carl and dan's ol' rock Scout.

What route did you guys take back?? 12 then to I-5?? How was it?

While I definatly missed not haveing my truck there to wheel, the drive home was super easy and fast not having to worry about a trailer pushing you around the pass :d plus I got like 19 mpg even with a couple foot-down passings :ihih:

Saw the 2 scouts on the trailer headed out of mulino toward oregon city Friday morning. Thought it might be dan and Mike. We were going the other way headed toward lapine.

That would have been me and monte. Kristion and dboy should have been right behind us with rock Scout.

Here are the only pictures I got this weekend. Joe had my camera and since it was my camera it took pictures of me. :ciappa:
due to a bad fan we had to make a run to yakima and get another. So we missed the 'trail slide" part of the weekend. But we did get to play a bit at funny rocks. :confused5:

The weekend weather was very strange. At one point the Scout was overtaken by a "gravity storm"

Come on, post the video. :ciappa:

yep, and rock Scout was right behind them. :icon_cool:

Yeah, I thought I saw rock Scout in the mirror. There was some sort of home-made rv right beside you guys. Made it kind of difficult to really see the scouts. All I recognized was the tail lights of the one on the trailer backwards and then the back end of rock Scout in the mirror.

Good to see all of you headed down the road.

Now that your all rested up from the naches trip:yikes:

what are the plans for the con / fordice /sfr ?

I might be able to get some vacation time in even though I have a new boss:icon_up:

on the pirate there was talk of a con trip the sun/mon before the sfr

Well this trip has kindof changed gears as of late, Mike and monte are both out so that leaves me and terry and jen and im on the fence because of a new construction im starting. So if this whole trip goes down were thinking of cutting the rubicon part of it and just doing 2 days at fourdyce (thurs/Friday)

is that right terry or have you come up with a different plan?

I haven't come up with a plan, just exploring options.
I'm thinking we should run the fordyce trial with the IHSFR group on Friday, and if we can fit in the rubicon on another day (Thursday) that might work best for all involved.
Don't know if it's possible to make a 1 day trip out of the rubicon, but from what I've heard it might be.
Looks like a Wednesday - Sunday trip might be the ticket for you poor working schmucks...
We have the whole week, so it doesn't really matter to us.

Lets hear your ideas

I think it would be cool to do both trails but it might be better to do fordyce both days. I am not even for sure that I can go, so you guys decide and I will tag along if circumstances allow it. :ciappa:

The rubicon can be done in one day straight thru but it will be a long day plus hope you don't have anything break or anyone broken on the trail blocking it. If your time is limited my suggestion is run in halfway, camp and then come back out the same way. You'll still enjoy it! But again its up to you guys and your rigs. Again anyone coming into town early or staying after the show either has my place or Chad's to camp at or stow a tow vehicle/trailer.

Thanks for the offer Jeff, we probably will take you up on it at some point, once we figure out what we're doing.
I guess we'll have to see when dan can get away, if we have to drop the rubicon, then so be it.

We have the whole week, but we're also smart enough to not run trails alone. So the plans hinge around the working schmucks:ciappa:
