Hey everyone,
new member here. I found the site from googling Scout parts, as in the last year I have picked up my 3rd and 4th scouts and am looking to build one of them up like one of my old one. I had 2 scouts a couple years ago when I was in college (a 1978 rallye with a 345, 727, SOA, and 35's and a 1973 Scout II with a straight 6, stock wheels, and a sweet hardtop). I sold them both back in 2006 and got away from 4x4's for a while, college and buying a house got in the way.
Currently I have a 1975 Scout II (304 and a 727, runs but I bought it for parts, might fix it up once I get my other one's body all fixed up) and a 1974 Scout II (304, 727, 4" lift I think, 32's, runs good and am going to use it as a hunting/fishing/hauling/light wheeling rig). I drive a car daily, so I will be able to work on the Scout anytime and can have it on jackstands if need be!
Just wanted to say hello and that the site is awesome. Look forward to posting and learning lots of information.

this will be my mountain rig , my play ground is 6000-11000' rarely above 10,000' !!! The Scout II is still fully stock with the exception that I ditched the a/c , cruse control , the tow assist (converting to disk brake's in the near future) and all the "workaround's" . It's been my daily driver for the summer (hard top off) till the steering rag joint went out ...... Look out
!! So now that I'm waiting for my part I decided to do my valve and oil pan gasket's (fel-pro p/n qs12481r and qvs12484r) and while I have them off I am attempting to paint !!! I'm an electrical contractor not a painter ...lol . Anyways will post pic's soon !!! G2g for now
