Engine Cpt Vacuum Users and Emissions

each Scout is special!!!!! You can say that shit again!!!!!
Gotta say this thread has been educational and entertaining but not as entertaining as the linear gauge thread!!!!
Im still lost on that one too. God I love this forum!!!!

That one was a good one. Well got the plugs changed and changed my mind about plugging the temp switches or the air ports. I'm not a small guy and when I was putting enough on each one that I got scared I was going to break them I called it quits. They are plugged and the next motor is the 345 out of my other Scout so this goes on the unless I have to pull the manifolds list then I'm going to leave them alone. Oh well I got some shiny new brass plugs.

I pulled the air and vac switches on my 345. Just put the brazing tip on my red wrench and heated them a lil. Came right out. Tapped the air portswith a 1/4 pipe tap and put oil galley plugs in the holes. Brass in the intake. Puttin a lil heat on them wont hurt, its cast iron lol I put antiseize on every thing before install. Seems to help on the trail makes it come apart with lil effort. Unlike other folks havin to beat shit loose with a bfh or a 10ft cheater lol

Thanks for the advice. I don't have a torch but I shold be able to use a benzomatic torch. Did you do all this with the motor in or out of the Scout? One of my biggest issues is space. I used to be a bodybuilder so basically I am a 6' 280lb man and getting in to tight spots is difficult to say the least. My Scout is stock with 31's on it and I have to jack the truck up to get under it. The air rails give me fits every time I change the plugs.

Hey Mike, I couldn't get a reading for the rpm with my meter on this e-coil. Where do you hook up yours at? My meter was all over the place so I just set the idle speed by ear for now.

I just had new year's breakfast man...blackeye peas, collard greens and hot sauce, and smash taters with the skin on! All that's lackin' is chikinfry steak!

So obviously the cold-start training session went ok? Yawl still speakin'???

We can find yawl a roundbody t'all, ya wanna 2x4 or a 4x4??? With rot or without? A driver or a project?

Hey Mike. I might be in the market sooner than I thought just because. Do you or anybody know of a round body for sale in good shape? Been flirting with a guy in nm with a decent looking tall with a straight six and no power anything but... If anyone has any info on a 60's tall 4x4 let me know
