You can do it 2 ways..
1. Have the moderator add txt to the list of uploads (gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd) allowed.

2. Right click on the file and send it to a compressed file.
When you do the file should pop up with a zip.
(which also isn't on the list allowed).

3. Just send the file to me!!

4. Open the file and make sure the columns line up. You normall have to remove the spaces from around the back slash of map so the headers move left over the numbers.
This is when veiwing in notepad.
Then just start at the top and hold down the left mouse button and drag to the bottom to highlight. Then right click and select copy.....
Go to the forum page and right click and select paste.
This will place it all on here.

But I think 1 and 2 are easier!!!

Ok it worked.

I was able to copy the data and convert it.
A few notes...
1. You left the raw data box checked!!! Turn it off.
2. You have errors that need to be cleard. Looks like you disconnected the map sensor when the motor was running. The error is still there.
3. You have max knock sensor counts. Did you install the bypass like in the bb FAQ? Or are you still running the knock sensor and esc? Either way it ain't working.
4. You had a glich right in the middle of the run. It's at 2145 in the data. When it did the data reset and your blm actually started working. You were stuck at 123 which was not bad but after the glitch you went pig Rich.
I assume you have black smoke(if you looked) or the plugs are black.

So you should unplug the ECM to reset it.
Check the wiring for the knock
check inlet and return fuel pressure
check your wiring connections. Nothing touching, no bare wires, good power and ground connections.
Then make sure you do the initial set up procedures.
Save the blm table and the data logging!!

What is the code on the chip or ECM?

I can't upload the data file yet but will when the ext's are added.

I was almost able to upload the zip file but the limits are set to small!!!

Bill, can I email it to you.

I logged this data last weekend in hollister. Joshc brought his laptop down and I borrowed a cable from a club member. So I can't just log data again till I can hook up with one of my buds:icon_cry: .

I appreciate your help.

Rocktractor is using a bin from afi for a 392. I turned off esc, est, egr, vss on the bin for him. Correct me if I am wrong rocktractor but you are not using knock, egr, vss or computer controlled timing. Just fuel only with a tach filter. He was complaining about running too Rich. Now that the log shows errors, it's running in default mode.

Like bill said, check your wiring connection, reset the ECM and log data again with raw unchecked and save the blms. I have his bin and can post it when uploading is enabled.

It's attached. This is an afi bin. I disabled the egr, vss, est,esc flags and nothing else.

.

Bill since the plugs on the ECM are a bit of a pain to pull off, could he just remove the battery cable for a minute and ECM would reset its self? Is that the same as shorting out a and b on the aldl plug too?

Yes you can disconnect the battery. Only takes about 15 sec most of the time.
Most guys don't like to do it that way due to dumping the radio station memories!!

Shorting a and b is just to retrieve codes or other options based on what you short them with!!

Re: Fuel Pumps

are you Mike elrod? This data looks familar...

If you guys want to help him with a better bin file instead of going through afi it's really fine. In the end if you want us to just burn him a chip and ship to save that would work too. As long as he gets taken care of, his choice but he is guaranteed tuning and warrantied if we made a mistake.

Yes I'm Mike.

Yes:yesnod:

Here's the data file.
I haven't had a chance to compare the bin yet but it looked like a 454 bin set up for open loop idle.

I put an easily accessible fuse in the power wire to the ECM... When I want to dump the ECM, I just pull the fuse. It can also be used as a sort of theft deterent... I just pull the good fuse and stick a blown fuse in there so it looks like a fuse is present.
