After last year's debacle and the debacle before that one, it seems I have yet to learn my lesson. Here's hoping the third time will be the charm. The trip is back on again. I've selected Saturday and Sunday June 12th and 13th for the run. I feel a whole lot better about these dates as extreme fire danger won't be a concern. This date is also evenly spaced between the cruise in and the bee. Unfortunately it does conflict with one of the mud drag events
...sorry drag queens! This deal was discussed in great detail last year (see thread below). Contrary to what I posted last year, class II ohv's are not required to have a valid 2 year ohv permit displayed on the vehicle to run this trail as it is technically a "system road", however the nice gummint rep I spoke with encourages all ohv'ers to have one whether required or not as it is a donation to a "worthy cause". Whatever that tidbit is worth to you. At any rate, if after meandering thru the lengthy thread below, you have a question that isn't answered, or if'n yer jes feelin' froggy...go ahead an' hop. I have been in regular contact with the club events coordinator regarding this event, and I imagine we'll see it posted to the club calender in due time.
