Was the Borg Warner auto ever married to a tcase?

I have one in a 2wd '66 t/a parts rig (I have the front half still) with torsion bar suspension and the '68 4x4 has a divorced np202 (I think) tcase. I don't have much info on the parts rig other than it was supposed to run. I made the mistake of assuming the steering box being the same as the one in the '68 (so totally not)
any info?

A Scout 4x4 bw adapter housing and output shaft. I imagine its much the same concept/process that's involved with the tf 727's for 4x4 sii's or fullsize rigs. Same transmission, different ass end parts depending on the specific application. In the case of the 727, the entire trans must be gutted in order to swap the output shaft.
