I am trying to remove and replace the rear universal joint on the front drive shaft of my 1970 800A V8 with automatic transmission. The front u-joint is of course a standard procedure - the rear u- joint however is tucked in above the transmission cross member and in / around the exhaust pipe, transfer case, etc.. I hope this doesn’t require disconnecting and sliding the transmission back towards the rear of the vehicle. Other than cutting a hole in floor and transmission tunnel and patching back in (?) I’m at a loss. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
