pulled engine compartment parts a almost all of pedal set up
I don't think you want steering wheel. In bad shape

Hi,

it's not so much the steering wheel I want, as I will be putting my own nos steering wheel on it. Rather it's the upper steering column assembly I need, hopefully with the turn signal mechanism that still mechanically works.

How is the passenger side sun visor?

Thank you very much for the update.

Steve

Both visors are in good shape the chrome on brackets are slightly pitted might steel wool out
undid everything in engine compartment in the rain so didnt quite finish unbolting pedal assembly was wet and cold in shorts and t shirt
column has emergency flasher switch, cool upgrade

one thing under dash it looks like outer column tube has been crushed out of round slightly is it supposed to be like that?

Hi,

I didn't mean for you to work in the rain. Here we're in a heat spell - it's dry and hot, into the 90's.

Hopefully the steering column will work ok, but won't really know until I see how crushed it is.

Also what condition is the heater box in, as far as rust and dents? If good, please pm me with how much more for the heater box. It's an easy remove as its only 3 nuts in the engine compartment, cut the 2 heater water hoses and its ok to cut the 2 control cables going into it. The one in my truck has been kicked and dented, and the replacement one I bought was completely rusted through in the bottom and back.

I appreciate your help, as I know those parts under the dash must be some of the most difficult to reach parts in the entire truck. :icon_sweatdrop: thank you!

Steve

p.s.
Send me a pm with your address so I can box up and have ready to ship the transfer case linkage things on my next day off.

I only need the long connecting rod with clevis pin and parts on transfer case side will check heater box
will take pic of crushed part of column

Hi,

still waiting on the parts. Hopefully you have not forgotten.

When do you think you will have them ready to ship?

Thanks.

Steve

hey steve I'm gonna get over there this week,

Hi, note you posted that message over a month ago. :-(

I sent you a deposit in June and now it's October. As of today, October 7th, I no longer need the pedals, brackets, etc. I hope you understand I did not want to wait until next year to start this work on my truck so I finally went elsewhere for those items.

Send me a pm to let me know the price of just the steering wheel / column assembly and sun visors and drop-dead shipping date, and I'll let you know if I'm still interested in those items, or just want a refund of my deposit.

Thanks.

Steve

Hi,

what's to hear back? I sent you a deposit and trusted you'd do it in a timely manner. What more can I say until you have pulled the parts. You've been telling me you're "gonna" pull them since June. I was just waiting until you told me you have pulled them and let me know the final price with shipping, which you never did do. So now I don't need the pedals. But I'm still giving you the first option on the other items if price (and shipping date) is reasonable.

Note you also still did not answer my questions about the steering column assembly and sun visors. So what am I supposed to guess about your status of those?

Going to pull those?
If so, total price? And firm shipping date.
(figure it might take me two days to pay the remainder so add two days to your shipping date).

If not, refund.
I don't know how to make it any simpler.

Steve

p.s. If I'm being unfair or unreasonable, please someone else jump in and let me know and I'll change my tune. I'm not trying to make anyone's life difficult.

A communication breakdown has occurred here. From the beginning, this ad was in violation of forum rules for the classified section. Rules which instruct ad creators to mention where the parts are located, along with prices for at least some of the parts offered for sale within the body of the ad. One of the reasons behind those rules is to hopefully prevent misunderstandings between the seller and buyer(s) as they attempt to work out a deal. Unfortunately, no one in the forum admin/mod community caught this one in a timely fashion, so it slipped through the cracks. Ordinarily, at least one of us is quick to catch non-compliant ads and request that the ad be updated to include the missing information as soon as possible. I'm sorry that did not happen in this case. No one can squeeze this toothpaste back into the tube. Going forward, I would urge both parties to have a meaningful dialogue as soon as possible about the full arrangements of this deal, including which specific parts will be changing hands, for what exact dollar figure including shipping, remittance details, and the date certain that the parts will be shipped. If that isn't possible for whatever reason, then the seller should return any depository funds tendered by the buyer in full as promptly as possible. Thank you for doing your parts to help keep this forum an open, honest and effective place for binder enthusiasts to conduct business amongst themselves.

Hi,
sorry for not getting back to you sooner, but I've been sick and have not been able to get on the forum for the past couple weeks.

Yes, I'm still interested in the steering column assembly and sun visors, depending on price. What is your fair asking price for each of those items?

Thanks.

Steve

I was thinkin $80shipped?

Hi,
is that total price on both the visors and steering column, or is that $80 in addition to the deposit I paid awhile ago?

Thanks.

Steve

------------------------------------------------------------------

hi,
I'm not really sure I understand your pm reply on 11-22 to my question above.

Your full pm response quote:
So lets break this down the money you sent me went to paying for parts that I pulled off truckwich was more then what you sent me so to make that money back, time& gas to get there and pull stuff off and shipping im losing money on this deal anyway you look at it but will continue with it because we made a deal so the price I gave you isnt unfair

If that money went to paying for those other parts you pulled off the truck, then do I understand correctly for $80 more you will include those other parts? That sounds fair to me, and I agree to that, although those other parts aren't much use to me now. But perhaps someday I can try to sell them.

I'm not trying to put words in your mouth, or be unfair, I'm just trying to be clear on how much I still owe you. I want to make sure I send you the correct amount and I'm clear on what to expect in return.

Is my understanding correct?
- pedal assembly,
- steering wheel assembly, and
- sun visors
- shipped for $80 more?

Thanks.
Steve
