Misc. Junkyard Stuff

Hey, I live in klamath falls, or (southern oregon) here at the u pull it we have a few scouts with some stuff still left in them, some 80's and an 800, a few trucks from 60's and 70's, 1210's and 1100's, and a few t-alls (one has the pop up top). No terras tho. I also found 4 of the astro van hydroboost master cylinders. I was gonna pull one for me and I could pull a couple extra if anyones interested. If anyone wants to call down there for parts the number is 541-885-2457.
I would also be happy to look for parts for anyone needing them. I go down about once a week, just to see what's come up.

Hey ben, could you check to see if any of those full-size rigs have a fan shroud in decent condition and the cost? Thank you.

Any chance one of those 70's trucks has an uncracked windshield that could be gotten out without cracking it?

Sorry trever, no shrouds for ya! I'll let you know if I find anything anywhere.
There is one decent windshield there but there's a good chip out of it where the rearview mirror used to be. I took a picture, hopefully you can see. They want $75 for it. I'll package it up if you can pay the shipping.
There's also a really good top and hood for a Scout 80 (or maybe it's an 800??) I don't really know. There's also a good top for a Scout traveler that's fiberglass.
All glass in the tops are good but they need new rubber all around.
There's also a great front clip off an old loadstar. Very straight and really good glass all around.
Here's some photos. Let me know if you want me to dig deeper.

Hey thanks a lot for looking into this! I couldn't really tell where the chip was in the photo. I mean you gave me the general area, but I couldn't make out which spot was the chip. Sounds like it's in a good spot though, as it will probably be behind the rearview mirror and out of sight anyway. Is that the only chip in the glass? Pretty good shape otherwise with not a lot of pitting? Let me know and we'll go from there.

Ya, I'll put it this way, if you don't want it I'm gonna put it in my 1210 :ihih: it could easily be repaired. The glass has no fogging around the edges and pitting is minimal. It's not showroom but it's good glass.

Ok man, ya sold me! Grab it for me if you would, please. I can pay you before for just the glass and after for shipping/packaging if it makes you more comfortable, or I can pay you all at once in the end. I'll understand for sure if you want to do it the first way. Pm me your payment info (email address if you take paypal, shipping if you want a money order or whatever), and your payment preference and I'll get you some money asap.

Thanks!

What kinda shape is the rear bumper in on the 800 Scout and if you could find out what they want for it? Are you able to ship it to me?

Here's some pictures of the rear bumper. There's a bit of a bend on both sides at the frame rails but it's not too bad. A bit of sand blasting and some new paint and I think it would look pretty good. It's 80 bucks, I'm at 97601 if you wanna figure shipping. I also found a transfer case that was interesting to me and wanted to know if it was worth anything to anyone. It's a twin stick with a pto. It looks like a Dana 20 but different. I don't know anything about these things but figured I'd post it incase it was gold to someone. The serial number on the plate is 24060-8 and I believe it came off a Jeep.
I almost forgot to mention that he came up with a set of Scout axles. The tag says they're 3.54 gear ratio and they turn free/hubs lock/unlock. He wants 450 for the set. They seem like they're in decent shape. I would have torn the rear apart 3 weeks ago if it had been here! He also has a lot of Chevy d44 axles. I'm not sure how to identify the flat top knuckles but there was one axle I noticed that on the drivers side had 3 studs coming off of the top of the knuckle but the pass. Side looked normal.

Hey ben, ask him how much for the pto only. The transfer case is a Dana/spicer 18 which I have quite a few of but I have yet to come accross that particular pto.

Thanks!

Probably gonna weigh about 60 or 70 pounds and cost around 80 bucks or so. I can find out more if you'd like. It will need just a bit of tweeking to make it really nice.
I don't think he's interested in selling just the pto. What would you be willing to pay for the whole thing?
And sorry, there were no good pickall bumpers that were worth pulling.
I go by there every other day or so. Let me know if I should look for anything else.

There's one travellall from the 60's club, most of them are from the 70's. I'll go by today and take some pictures of all of them so that you know. I'm not so great with the t-alls yet! :confused5:

I really don't need the whole thing but if he'll take $100 for it I'll buy it. Start there and see what he counter offers.

Thanks again for doing all this leg work!

Here's a few pics of the t-all with the pop up. My phone is acting goofy so I'm having a hard time getting the pics off.
Jeff, the pto also has a driveline/gearbox that mates to it if you're interested, see pictures below (118 and 119). He'd sell the gearbox/driveline/t-case/tranny for $200. I think he firgures there's no way he'll get rid of the driveline/gearbox otherwise and it'll just go to scrap. I'll let you know more tomorrow.
And sorry, but I was wrong about the 60's t-all. I thought there was one but there wasn't.
Also, some pictures of the rows of "stuff" maybe an easier way for you guys to identify what you're after.
