IHCS needs your help.

did you get the sign? How many made it out of there?

Got the sign. Still need to clean it up a bit. Just brought 4 out today. I still have 3 more to get. Lots of the better rigs were moved out of there and are for sale but the prices are still silly. :icon_rolleyes:

....... And that's all the pics your gonna give us! Shit man, I've been waiting to see what you were going to end up with! If that 392 is still in good shape that will probably be worth what you paid for the whole lot!

I'll try to get some good pics tomorrow or Tuesday when I get them all together again. I was pretty happy about the 392. Less then 4000 miles on a completly rebuilt motor is pretty sweet. :icon_cool:
this is the rig with the new motor. Forgot to mention that a year before the motor was rebuilt. The guy spent $6000 at bisio. Even installed a new Dana 60 in the rear.

Well, that sure looks like a nice Travelall! The oil pan on that 392 sure is something else. Obviously a custom job. Didn't really think that IH sv's needed any more oil capacity...... Or, is that some kinda skidplate?

More capacity. 11 quarts to be exact.:yikes: also a duel remote oil filter system. Looking over the build sheet for the motor shows a .30 over bore and a 9.1 forged piston.

Holy cow! 11 quarts, it's almost like a diesel! Is it a current runner, or has it been sitting for a while?..... The po definitely put some $$$ into that.:yikes: :ihih:

Shit Mike...you might be able to break the tires loose with that'n! I'm confident you'll give it a college try anyway.:p

Depends if you consider 19 years a long time or not..:yikes: last tags were 1990.

You know I will just drive it very respectfully. Like I do all my internationals....:p

Well all the rigs are at the ihcs or at storage in molalla.
after dboy was roped into moving dads latest puchess to the ihcs. I talked him into making the final run to bisios lot with me. Pics to follow of dads new sr2.:ihih: as well as some more of the junk I bought.

Damn! I saw that pic on pirate and figured it had to be for one of you roths! Looks like a nice Scout in that hazy pic. So what's the IH count between the father and son team at ihcs?:ihih: :yikes:

I counted 12 when I was over there the other night. But im sure theres more than what I saw in storage at molalla and at ihcs.

I need more pics!:dita:

Pics of the "ppe" will come later in another thread. When we can pull it back out and clean it up. Here are a few pics of the 1210 Travelall. 392 at,ps,pb,ac thing runs like a top. Was taken in because it pulled to one side while braking. So it has all new brakes under it including new front drums..:icon_eek: this one has the start of the typical fullsize rust over the windshield. But can easily be brought back.

Nice front bumper!:dita: is this gonna replace the 'burb when it gets in better shape so you'll have an IH tow rig to retrieve your IH's? Not as bad of windshield rust as my 1310 that used to sit in that exact same spot a time or two ago.....:winky:

It May be a replacement vehicle and you are right about the windshield rust. Another strange thing is there is no daylight under my feet.:winky:

we got 4 moved today. Which just leaves 3 left to move. Thanks lyle! And thanks monte for sending ron with your truck and trailer. Over half done. The bad news is some of them are worse then I thought. The good news is one of them had an invoice in the glove box for a rebuilt balanced and blueprinted 392 with a comp cam. This was done at a porformance 4x4 center in portland and not a bisio.the invoice shows the millage of the truck was at 64340 milage in the truck now is 67770. :yesnod:

here is my favorite pic of the day...:ihih:

This one is off the market now, it lives permanently at binder u. And will be pressed into service as a dd for kathy when she's home, and as a limo for students coming and going to binder u.

We have made a vow to never again own/operate any motor vehicle (street legal) manufactured after January 1, 1980 (including a Scout II). The only plastic is the horn for the alarm system (installed in '87), the trimmer on the steering column (rotten of course), and the dash pad (which is virgin!).

This ride was originally sold through the factory branch in portland and will remain in oregon. More to come as it develops in a new thread.

And the more fookin' e10 the sumbitch burns up, the happier I'll be! We're gonna rid tha planet of that shit and owlgore too!

Mayben, next tyme jerry an I iz up at the u, let's squirt a shibe-style skule-buss yeller paint job on the bitch. Jerry kin take care 'of the fancy stensill werk...binder universitee short buss in bold, black letterin' along both sides. Shit don't gotta be level, kerned, or syzed perzactlee.

I wuz kinda thinkin' the same, only just shootin' a clear-coat on the sheetmetal as to "preserve" it. Then replacing all the appliances in the shophouse with analog shit done in either harvest gold or coppertone along with sum of the earthtones shag I got stashed away from '73. Dboy will really git off on that stuff!

Added up all the receipts for body work and paint done in '87/'88 by three different shops, came to over $4k!!! Obviously the paint wurk didn't stick but the rot did! Total of all receipts in the folder collected by the two po dudes...that represent only '87 and '88 dinero-drops...about $12k! And ernie gotta bunch of it too!

Congratulations kathy and Mike. Welcome to the Travelall portion of the club. There is absolutely nothing better than riding down the road on your couch. Even with all the years of sitting on ernie's lot, it is still a very nice rig. Kathy will love it.

I wonder if she will let me take it for a drive up the river the next time we are at your place?

Lyle
