Future IHPA Headquarters

Re: Future IHO North Headquarters

Thought I would update the shop build thread. I'm going to start back up at early December when we ran some drainage pipe and electrical.

Here's the pipe that goes behind the retaining wall.

Water, phone and electrical all going from the shop to the existing barn.

At the end of the weekend all was buried up.

Re: Future IHO North Headquarters

The next after covering up our ditch a nice sized winter storm came thru dumping almost 8" of snow.

attachment.php

A couple weeks later after things dried up the drain rock got put behind the retaining wall.

attachment.php

attachment.php

attachment.php

Next on the to do list was bring in power from the pole to the shop. We decided to go underground on this.

attachment.php

attachment.php

attachment.php

attachment.php

attachment.php

A drain box had to be installed as per pg&e.

attachment.php

Next the ditch had to have sand on the bottom so that the pipe being laid down had a nice cushion.

attachment.php

attachment.php

attachment.php

The next morning we had the ditch inspected by pg&e and covered up before the next big storms rolled in. I didn't get any pictures of this part.

Re: Future IHO North Headquarters

Here's all that went in under ground. We have power in/out, telephone in/out, and then a generator and air compressor room will be built outside and has the piping underground.

attachment.php

attachment.php

Here's what it all looked like with the ditch filled in.

attachment.php

With the piping in it was now time for the perimeter concrete to be installed.

Re: Future IHO North Headquarters

With the building mostly complete it was time for some interior walls and electrical. Darren's father leroy was in charge of the electrical work while dennis helped building and install some interior wall.

Putting up the lights. Oh boy do I love heights!

attachment.php

Here's what I call the business end of the building. The power comes into the meter socket and then out into a huge transfer box which will allow us to switch over to generator in case of a power outage. This way if we do encounter an outage the business can still continue to function without interruption.

attachment.php

With two good weeks of weather it finally dried up enough that dennis was able to straighten out the driveway to the shop.

attachment.php

And here's a look at the mostly completed shop. We are really excited to be this close to actually moving in.

This sorta thing makes me want to start wrenching on something. It's a shame that I am not in the correct location to give you guys more work. Just seeing the shop come together in this thread makes me proud to be an owner of something International - because I know I'm not alone when I look at these vehicles and see real value, or at least potential.

Now it's just a matter of finding me some homespace in between ihon and binder u. It's looking great, and I'm getting excited from two thousand miles out.

Here's to a multitude of builds in your future, to your new shop, and to all our old iron!
