i ran power direct from battery both pos and neg and stil no spark so im lost

Power feed should only ever go to the coil POS terminal. With that connected, unhook the cable that runs between the coil and the dizz cap center from the dizz cap end and place the electrode within an eighth of an inch from a good ground, but where you can see it while you starter crank. You should see a good spark there. If you don't, the coil is toast.
