Well nothing I know of that's designed for that purpose, but heavy banding from a pallet is where I'd start.

yeah I was worried about that. Do you have any reccomendations on a proven strap and where to get it. I guess I could make something too.

I would try a crane supply or trucking supply store. The will have different fiber slings and commercial fiber tie downs. I don't know if they will carry anything 1", but it's worth a try.

I found various latches on granger that I am pretty sure I could tig weld to a piece of stainless steel strap. Just gotta order a couple and do it now.

Eastwood Mig 175

looking good.

How do you like that eastwood welder? I've been looking into getting one myself.

For the money that welder great. I have been running a large spool of lincoln. .030 flux core wire. I have welded the floors (ollie my 10 year old did most of it), I have built my bumpers, fabbed a stereo box, and a bunch of othe stuff around the garage. I cant tell you how much of the spool I've gone through because I haven't had to open the access panel up for any reason. It just keeps welding. I have been wanting to get another gas bottle for shielding gas to play with but honestly it welds so well with flux core and I don't mind cleaning the slag off.
I haven't used the spool gun yet.

Hope this helps in your decision. I would recommend the 175. I've been looking at their plasma cutters now.

Thank you very much, it was between the lincoln 180 and the eastwood 175 so I think you just helped me make up my mind.
