Barret Lake this year

I asked about those and the fs was unsure of there own website. I got an old fashion one on yellow paper as there are still free.

That's when you need to explain to them to pull there head out of there ass.

Also why we have 4 new fs folks on the con this year, so we have folks that can be educated on the rules. Not make them up as they go.

Still not sure if I can make it :icon_sad: if I can Friday is out forsure. So.. I was thinking about heading up hiway 88 sat early am. Any idea where the group might be ? (I think I need a ham licens) I will post by Thursday on my plans forsure. Joe

We had cell ph. Service on sb trail near the end. We can call you Friday night and give you an update if you decide to come up.

Sean, I will get a couple extra copies of the maps. There from aaa, its the one for the tahoe / sierra .

I almost got the Scout steet legal again. Just need to add mud flaps. The new bumper is built / painted / and installed.

Thanks for posting the pics of your tire carrier, I know who I won't be directly behind this wekend :icon_xd:

looks good and won't break your back.

I'm feeling good, I got the mud flaps installed and I fixed my ARB air pump, so now I'm street legal and have a front locker to boot. that bumper tire carrier took longer to finished then I thought

I'm sure the rest of you are busy fixing or getting everything ready too. I know cheese has been busy working on his junk.

I also put my top back on for this trip. Got the cb antenna moved and thats all done. So now its just the normal check list and then pack up Thursday after work.

Well have a steak or two for ya Joe, maybe next time.

Im excited for this trip. Its going to be nice to finally get out and really enjoy my Scout. Not sure im totally ready. Rear brakes still don't work right and I'm guessing that my four low engages properly now. Woo-hoo!

front, drivers brake caught on fire this morning. Yes, the rotor heated up enough to catch the caliper on fire. Looks like the Scout isn't going to make this trip.

Too bad. I will be coming back early, but I have an empty seat if you want it. Cage probably won't be completely done, but it will be better than the roll bar I had before.

What a bummer!! Not sure if you can get to my house with it tonight or tomorrow night, but I bet we could fix it with all the brake parts I have!

I had massive issues with the cheese (one thing after another) and was worried I might not make it, but I think everything has been worked out (fingers crossed lol)

I have parts on order which should be in by tomorrow. Theres a 50/50 chance of getting it ready but confidence is high. I'll take the family wagon if the Scout doesnt pan out. Like I said before, I'm going either way.

Yea, lets still plan on 10 am for a meet up at the entrance to strawberry pass on friaday morning. As for deer valley, we could also plan on 10 am. We'll meet on the north side of the trail. The website bellow seem a bit simple but it has directions. Another option is we could meet at blue lake road off of the 88. That May be a more simple option.

Can't wait for this trip. Three months of the h.o.j. Just sitting there has been too long for me lol.

.

I thought this was kinda cool . sean’s link takes you to the rendezvous site . I took it to the street view . it must have recently snowed when the camera was rolling .

to make it easy for those folks meeting up with us on Saturday, we'll meet at the small lake directly off blue lakes road (12 miles east of kirkwood on the 88) at 10am. There's a parking lot there to hang out at.

Thats a good map link sean! I think only Scout-in-out is still in the running for meeting us on sat. I have his ph number and pretty sure we will have 1 or 2 bars Friday night.

Mike it will be good to know just how much of the sb trail is also covered by 805. I'll give you a shout.

Have fun guys.

I will be at my cabin in arnold all weekend (until Monday actually) if you guys need anything.

My numbers:
c: 925-768-1047 (might not work up there)
cabin: 209-795-5712

I'm going to try to cruise up to union/utica resv./slickrock Sunday morning.

Also, you might want to call the ranger station up by deer valley.
Someone on pbb said that the campsites (developed) are still closed up that way.
