To start off i have a 1978 Selective Edition. I picked it up in 2015 as my first car for a whooping 300$. Didn't Run drive or anything. came with an IH304,T19 Close, Dana 20, 3.54s Open, D44s. To get it running i first cleaned the tank, made sure i wasn't going to catch anything on fire, changed the oil etc. I got it running but it had a fat lifter tick. I ran it until 2018 and that's when the camshaft finally let go. From here is when i started actually doing things. while it was my Senior Year of High school that is when i tore the engine (IH304) and started rebuilding it. Got the block honed out, magna-fluxed, cleaned from a machine shop. i then got the heads cleaned up and rebuilt, put a Comp Cams 252H cam in it and basically gave her hell. as of Today we are at 35,000 miles and still running strong. since then i have had a Cut-n-Turn, HD steering, ARB Front with 4.88s, Chromoly shafts, T19 Wide Ratio, Dana 20 Twin sticked with the 3.15 gears, Truetrac Rear (Soon to be ARB) with chromoly shafts, 4.88s, HD retaining plates, Hydro boost, PSC pump and cooler, 4 core Radiator, rebuilt the Power steering box, straight steer, borgesen joint, 2.5in lift on 35s with bead locks. all i have left to do is to get fuel injection and then hydro assist. Its been a super fun project and i have learned a lot from it. I Built it to be Low and Slow. I mainly play in the spring snow up in Washington State so i don't need crazy suspension travel. I'm still planning on cutting out the rear fender wells and making them more 35in friendly.
