74 Scout II (running) project

Doc is everybody's buddy. This'll learn him up guuder. He just needs to throw a dollar in the swear jar and promise never to do it agin!

Ahh yeah, sorry, brainfart! Didn't think about that. I May have to do that scoutboy. Photoshop my favorite centerfolds, lol.

Centerfolds? Ok, what did I miss? Where's the eye candy? Seems that I'm always a day late and a dollar short. Story of my life. My excuse is that I was born late. And I'm sticken to it.

You missed it man. Doc was trying to solicit "services" on here. It was disgusting.

Nope. No wories. He posted a picture of a pretty Scout that sadly had some advertising from a direct IHOnly competitor

IHPA sorry

Yeah, I posted up some porn but it was a bunch of overpriced, skunky hooker types so scoutboy did us a favor and yanked it!:icon_xp: I'll be a little more picky next time now that I know the high caliber tastes of the folks around here.:icon_xd:

Had a 4 day weekend but, with easter, family visiting, turkey hunting, rain and working on spring cleaning my shop, I didn't do much wrenching. I've put the 72 completely on hold until I transform my shop from storage back into something I can work in.:mad2:

at any rate, I did get the turn signal switch swapped out and put in a new tranny filter/gasket. I went with a cheap local kit for the tranny since I'm planning to drop the pan again after I get a few hundred to 1k miles on her myself. Then I'll be ordering a kit from IHPA. Other than that, I started soaking the body mount bolts with aerokroil in atticipation of installing the new rubbers.

I've seen worse. The old filter had some small tears in it though!

I was really expecting to see a lot worse based off the fluid I siphoned out last week.

Realized after I got the plan cleaned and everything back together that I didn't take any pics of the tranny with the filter removed or with the new filter in. Not sure if you guys really care or not but, wish I had for future reference.:icon_xp:

The guys at IHPA really have top notch parts. I didn't find a single flaw in a side by side.

Reinstall was a breeze. The new switch sat in place as though it was meant to be there!

Well, it's been a hectic and crazy summer around here. Life in general but, finally starting to find some time to wrench on my rigs again. Been keeping the 318 cranked and running but, the fuel pump gave up on me a couple of weeks ago. Put a new pump in and changed out the body mounts. Going to pick up some material so a buddy of mine can make 2 more spring shackles to match the ones scooter sold me (man I need to get a welding rig!). Putting off swapping leafs between my rigs while I try to figure out what I'm going to do with my axles. I want 4-wheel discs but I'm on a budget right now since my wife has started some remodelling jobs on the house!!! Going to research my options for that. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Not much in the way of pics at the moment but, you guys might enjoy this. One of the things keeping from wrenching my own rigs is my brother in law. He's wanting to buy an 89 weep from another buddy of ours. Things been sitting up a bit. I helped him get the 350 cranked and running but it needs a lot more. He did some work on the brakes yesterday and drove it to my house to show off. Well, didn't go so well for him. I'll let the picture speak for itself.
