Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but is there a thread with details about this year's Sierra Fall Rallye? I found the dates in the calendar, but no further info.

IH Parts America Of Loomis CA, in conjunction with NorCal Scouts and scouts west, presents the 2nd annual International Harvester Sierra Fall Rallye. As with it's inaugural year, the rallye will be returning to lake francis resort at dobbins, CA, the weekend of October 10-12, 2008. The resort is located between marysville and Grass Valley. Lake francis resort is operated by a non-profit organization providing services to foster children in northern California. [ a pdf of the rallye flyer follows ]

To those of you who attended and/or supported the first rallye… a big thank you. Because of your participation, a first-time gathering of International Harvester trucks in northern California went way beyond it’s initial expectations of a handful of local sponsors and maybe 15-20 trucks. By closing, we counted 42 IH vehicles and had sponsor representation from many IH dealers nationwide…not bad. This year, the rallye will relocate from the courtyard area to it’s new home turf; the large open meadow behind the gazebo. Remember, the gazebo is where we had dinner. Being out in the open space is ideal for us and our Saturday activities. Of course, there will still be the Saturday night bbq dinner – Sunday morning breakfast – Friday trail rides – Saturday show’n’shine – people’s choice award – raffle – camping – the lake. Everybody liked that; it was a nice touch.

Realizing the success of the rallye from last year, we made it a little better this year. A mini-rubicon will be jointly constructed between NorCal Scouts and a crew from lake francis resort, so bring the wheeler, and scouts west sponsoring a continental breakfast and chili-dog lunch on Saturday, and Michael, kathy and the guys from IHSTO will be on board Sunday morning sharing some of the breakfast cooking duties with their famous, or is that infamous flapjacks. Between the resorts amenities, the food, scouts games, trail rides, the rockpile and a mellowing evening campfire, there’s plenty to do on Saturday. Oh yeah, the band -- Mad dash -- will be playing Saturday afternoon during show’n’shine and “playtime”. For those of you who remember last year's show, see why the field would be the perfect place for our rallye? It's time to pass the word. One last party before winter sets in.

If you enjoyed yourself at last year’s show and would like attend your second rallye, a pdf of the pre-registration [ & sponsor ] Form follows.
If you would like to experience the rallye first hand and want more information, please download the 3-pdf’s of the registration, flyer and sponsor forms that follow. Also, check out the gallery at the rallye’s website IHSFR.org .

Less thsn two months until the show! Camping spaces at lake francis are filling up fast. Unless there is a cancelation I have been told all cabins are reserved.

Well I just map quested it and it aint to far from my brother house in red bluff so I called him to see if I could stay there and he said no worries so I be mailing my registration tomorow (2 sept) and if I can figure out my ingnation problem and get the brakes done I will bring project "torpedo" too (even thou it aint done)
see ya there

There is a tentative IHSTO caravan being formed for the rallye now russ. Don't know details right now as kathy and I are gonna stay down there after the rallye for several days.

Right now, ss2 is planning to trailer down uber Scout using the latest roundbody Travelall find for a tow rig.

And yore club, IHSTO, is a rallye sponsor and ya need to be there to flip flapjacks on Sunday mornin'!

For the trail ride on Friday we will be doing road 18n11 or 18n01. We will decide on that when we get to them. It's about 20 minutes from dobbins:cool:

How do you want to handle raffle prizes Jeff? I have a few items I want to bring up, no big dollar stuff but any raffle prize is better than no prize. I could send you some pictures of them or would you prefer I just show up with them?

See you there if no sooner

If you can bring them with you that would be great. We really appreciate the donations. See you at the rallye!

Would you guys be alright with a new Scout owner bringing a non Scout rig on the wheeling trip (full size Bronco)? Id like to come see these things in action, but mine is not driveable at the time.

I will be ordering t-shirts for the rallye and the cut off date is sept 26. If you want to order a shirt – $15.00 – and pick it up at the show, get back to me with the size & quantity. If you are not going to the rallye but would like the event shirt, let me know, plus send me $20.oo -- the extra $5 will cover postage.

Put momma and me down for two, one xl and one xxxl.

Payment was included in the registration check I sent Mike last Thursday. Two Saturday nite dinners also.
