Thanks for the feedback.

I am not sure what lift it has since it came that way. I am guessing that its a 2 1/2

the tires are 32x11.50x15 BFG a/t ko's

I like the gauges. Did you buy a kit with all the gauges or did you buy the dash and source the gauges yourself? I was thinking about doing a new dash/gauges if I were to do a full re-wire of the truck. For now I'm on a tighter budget and the new cvr I soldered in seems to be working great.

Thanks for the link! It never occurred to me but a programable speedo would make a lot of sense running different size wheel and tires. Good luck on your Scout and if you think of it post pics on your re-wire. I can use all the help I can get...I just pulled the carpet to find a previous owner had installed a mini-fuse box with tons of naked copper hanging around everwhere. :yikes:

Worked on the Scout today

got the front blinker and running lights working. Installed the grill and the B&M super-cooler

That looks great, my son has a 72 rust colored one with the same drive trane. Slowly coming along as he has no job to pay for squat!!

Started tackling the wiring

I wanted to be able to remove the dash when needed so I used the same weather pak connectors I used for the exterior wiring.

As you can see these connectors make a very strong connection.

This way if needed I can unplug and pull out the dash just like a new car

Started building the harness for the contura switches. The nice thing about these beside the look and the fact they are waterproof is that you can build oem style harnesses. These are the same switches ARB uses for their locker switch

Got the vintage air unit hooked up. Ac will come later but I have the lines hooked up under the dash and then stubbed through the firewall with a vintage air billet plate

More progress today:

got the dash installed and the guages in

dsc02571.jpg

Vintage air controls in. I have just the heater hooked up now. Still deciding what dash vents to use
dsc02573.jpg

I need to finish wiring on the switches and then the dash should be done for a while.

Next on the list is a carpet kit and then get the tuffy box secured and add in the stereo. I plan on using the tuffy storage/speaker boxes in the rear

speaker & storage security lockbox set for Jeep wrangler, yj, cj-7, cj-5

Have not decided where to mount any speakers in the front

I am considering have a cage built and then have som tube bent in the corners that way I could fiberglass in some boxes for som 6.5in speakers.

I want to keep all the electronics pretty high so I can Ford without worry. This puts doors or kick panel boxes out of the question

Rebuilt the door hinges. The door shuts so much better now
I rebuilt a another set, if somones needs it I will sell it cheap.

Looks very good. I couldn't tell if you already have one but a shackle lift May help and the urethane body bushings can add a little without screwing with your steering.

Havent posted in a while. Some of you May have seen the engine problems I had earlier.

Rather the throwing good money after bad I started over fresh

355 4 bolt main, lunati voodoo torque cam, roller rocker, double roller chain, new evertyhing else.

Also decided to add a e fan while I was at it. This is a Ford contour unit made by bosch. Fits my radiator like it was made for it

Dropped in

Wiring up fan

dsc02764.jpg

I am using two bosch waterproof relays

the first fan will kick on when the sensor hits 195, and the next fan will kick on at 210, or when the ac is on

Here some pictures of the completed install

I used the rive nuts and alum stock to make a bracket. Similar to the stock bracket, but mounted from the front to make room for the efan

New made in the usa napa hoses for 67 impala

Tight fit but enough room
dsc02847.jpg

After I got it mounted I remembered I wanted a body lift. With the mount I made moving it down a little will be easy.

Then I need to install the ac condenser, and mount the transmission cooler.

Then hopefully button it up for good

still working on the fan switch I dont like it getting so hot. So I ordered one that kicks the first fan on at 185 and the next at 195
