Today I worked on the grill
sanded it down and coated the back with rust converter paint. Not sure if this stuff really works but it seemed better then nothing
Fixed a few little dents, this thing is in really good shape. I think this grill was only on the 71s and 72s
Hit it with a coat of sealer primer then painted it flat black. I debated on flat or gloss. I think this will tie in with the fender flares I plan to add later and is superscoutesq
Added the trim back
one of these pieces came off my Dad's old 72 which was too far gone to restore, happy to see some peices live on
I also started to wet sand the sealer coat on the body, went with 600 grit
It is looking pretty good, hope the paint lays down as well
