Hi all, I'm moving right along with the frame off rebuild of my 74 Scout II. I've recently sent my 345 out for a performance rebuild which will include decking the heads and block, squaring the block, main bearings line honed, chamfered crank oil holes, Isky 256/262 split duration cam, balance and blue print, open up the exhaust ports in the heads, remove the bosses for air injection tubes and port & polish the heads. Fuel and air will be mixed in a Holley 2300 / 7448 2 barrel, spark will come from a Pertronix ignition system and the exhaust will exit through Stan's Tri-Y headers. I only mention the engine detail for suggestions on my TF 727 transmission rebuild. I know the engine will be pushing barely 200 hp when all said and done. I was going to get a stock rebuild on the tranni and torque converter. Are there any internal upgrades parts that I should suggest to the transmission shop? Shift kit yes or no? As always thanks for any info. It is always appreciated. You can follow my build in the readers ride section. Its titled 74 Scout II rebuild / restore.
