It would work, but my goodness it must be made of solid gold for that price! Do you have any pick-n-pulls nearby? As I've mentioned numerous times before, the tube and stick are not Scout specific parts. The 727 in IH scouts and trucks is sourced from chrysler with an IH bolt pattern bellhousing. Most of the guts and peripherals are chrysler, including the tube and stick. So that means for those two parts, any one of the millions of mopar cars and trucks produced from the early 60's through the late 80's with an auto trans in it is a suitable donor. Clean up the parts, slip a new o-ring around the tube base...good to go for probably 1/10th the price of that summit bling. If salvaging is not an option, you could give Jeff a call to see what used pieces he May have available. Barring that, whatever it takes (wit) dot com is a fantastic supplier of auto trans hard parts and their prices are great.
