We'll git deep into ignition and carburetion, and then hook up the engine analyzer onna demo rig. We'll have some carbs tore down for a looksee along with distributors, a coil tester ta play with, etc.

Bring sumthin' for IHSTO potluck just like always, toss whatever ya want on tha grill. We'll provide the liquids.

Bring chairs too!

Ooh, ooh, I'll be there! can't wait to get hooked up on the analyzer. The choke arm that was cracked on the 5200 broke today, so I'll have to mend that tomorrow.

That suks, I spent way too much time fixin' that dam shaft!

I have one donor carb here which is an unbuildable pos...guess what, the choke shaft in that one is broken too and the butterflys are missing.

The screws that retain the butterflys in your carb are installed with loctite, the screws are stainless replacements I fabbed. The actuator lever was repaired/re-installed using a brazing process. If ya wanna bring the carb down when ya come, I can fix it again...otherwise maybe ya can find another shitball 5200 for a donor?

Can ya foller instructions????

Only requirements for admission are...bring a traditional IHSTO potluck dish and chairs that fit yore size butt. A grill will be available. We'll supply drinkin' agua, sodees, and beer, but if ya don't like our brands, brung yore own!

From portland metro take I-5 southbound to the eugene/springfield/hiway 126 exit/mckenzie hiway eastbound (exit 194a).

Come all the way eastbound on 126, it's a "bypass" around
springfield, and then feeds into main st./business 126.

For anyone coming northbound on I-5, take the same exit which will lead you right onto the ramp for hiway 126 eastbound.

Take a left at the hiway 126 bypass/business junction in front of albertsons, you'll be heading near due east on hiway 126 out of springfield. Next gas from that albertsons or the shell next door is at mathers store in cedar flat, then the pratt store in leaburg near our house, but gas is about 20 cents higher there than in town.

You'll go through thurston, cedar flat, deerhorn, and then pass the
leaburg powerhouse on the right (river is on the right also), just
before a big curve to the left. Keep coming on 1/2 mile and you'll drop down
into the burg of leaburg (milepost 20 I think).

Slow down and watch for an actual street sign on the right that says leaburg dr., take a sharp right at that sign. You'll be facing a small bluish/gray frame house right on the road with a picket fence under construction, turn in their driveway on the left side. There is also a house number sign there in that driveway that says 42790, that's us.

Come down the drive past the red barn and take the right hand fork of the driveway, you'll see the shophouse then, it's a 3 story cedar shingle building. The two 4-legged intrusion alarms will greet ya but they will move when ya try and run over 'em, that's an intimidation game they like to play with newbies. Park anywhere, on the grass is fine.

Gps coordinates are usually close to:

n44* 6’ 18”
w122* 40’ 45”

since we got this continental drift thing going on, those May be off by a few seconds at any point in time!

One way distance is approximately 125 miles from say fry's there in wilsonville.

Any chance you can get a replacement choke shaft from a weber 32-36 dgv or the like? Weber redline or pierce manifolds May stock it.

I have a race-prepped dgv here now that has had the choke components removed. When I compared the choke portion of the air horn with michael's 5200 I ascertained that the dgv choke butterflys...while the same general shape, appeared to be a bit larger in length/width than the 5200 parts. When I stuck his choke shaft in, it also didn't line up properly. I think that's cause of the several variatioins of these carbs that are "mirror images" of each other in both the 5200 stuff and the weber stuff.

These 5200 cores can prolly be had for under $10 atta boneyard, so that May be what needs to happen to get the right parts. I also just thought of one "source" locally for a buncha obsolete carb pieces, they guy bought out an oldtime carburetor shop a few years ago and has all the stuff there, he deals in only classic restos and street rods, but might have some 5200/weber stuff to part out.

I was wrong about the "stainless" screws on that carb of michael's, I re-used the oem screws with loctite. The stainless screws went in one of the roth mixers I did at that same time. Whenever those parts are removed, they screws always go in with loctite.

I'll pencil myself in on this shindig.... Provided work doesnt get in the way lol. I need some continued education.

Sorry I won't be able to make this binder u. Occasion. That is real close to the time momma is scheduled to pop!

Terry I know that yellow chebby of yours is fast, but that fast.:icon_eek: it would be worth going just to take the road trip in your yellow "hotrod"

I checked with momma and she said do what you want with an icy look in her eyes. :mad5: I think I should pass this time around.

Geeze, you've obviously misunderstood what "that" look means.
Those cold female looks always mean full approval. Hands on the hips and foul language reinforce, the message of approval also.
It's strange but that's how it works.

I wonder how long this has been going on? Perhaps you should seek help? I can coach you sometime.
