We've been cuttin' for two days, six saws going at one time after the fallers left Friday.

The cottonwood's gonna lay in place until some kinda market develops, just need to move the parked log over about four feet. I don't wanna buck it ta length that nobody wants. Some of the cedar is gonna get planted upright for an entrance to the parking lot. Dave has an alaskan mill and a couplea 42" saws so we're gonna slice and dice some of the cedar. The rest of it May be going to a shake mill in springtukee.

Three burn piles are ready to light off now, the rest of the limbing trash will git piled once the fire is lit.

There is plenty cottonwood tops if anyone is hurtin' enuff for firewood that smells like shit and don't burn worth crap.

I gotta 42 and 44" saw too!:dita: sounds like you've been busy!:cornut: will be gettin all the shiz ready to go tonight for the long haul down. See ya tomorrow...

Hi, michael

hitting the road "soon"...

Probably get to your place about 9:30 am sat.

Not sure if I will have internet access fri evening...

Take care, Robert

It was a good day at binderu. Great folks, and a good edumakashen to be had by all who payed attenshun! As per usual Mike is a great host, and lekshurer. Subjects were detailed with emphasis on how they related to each other in a system of operation or parts and availability. In other words, Mike and dave sure know how to connect the dots!

Thank you Mike, kathy, & dave!!

Thanks a bunch to Mike, kathy and dave for making this a great day, rain and all. This is a class I can do over and over again and always learn a thing or two.

Thanks again for hosting us Mike and kathy. Looking forward to the maybenville cruise in May.

Lyle

Well, thanks to the mayben family for hostin me at their place for my engine breakdown:idea: didn't turn out as planned, but Saturday was a nice gathering of some fellow IH'ers! Also, thanks to dave for providin the parts and gettin them there in a very timely fashion, even though the motor turned out to be trashed..... Thanks again!:yesnod:

This past week was about the busiest we've been in years! We never intended the tree takedown to consume so much time, but it's still going on...did two more stilh/walbro carbs today so we can keep the saws in motion! This fookin' e10 is sukkin' water out of the air like a sponge and it's gittin' squeezed right into the tanks.

Big ol' thanks to all who made the trip up (or down, or over)! Havin' both robertc and timmyboy here was a real treat!

Evidently yawl been spreadin' summa yore lernin' around, the phone and email is burnin' up with club folks who wanna know shit but didn't make the show!

And mikeesquared (dimock) was a great help in the tree work, bummer about his motor but shit happens for a reason...always...and all this means is that he will end up doin' this motor right instead of jakelaig mode! And havin' access to all the best parts through ihon and dave makes this a straight ahead deal...more on that later!

We forgot ta show off what IH scrambled cam bearings look like, but they'll be in the bag in the 'rango at the meeting tomorrow nite if anyone wants a peek.

Let's do it agin in the fall with sum different topic!

Y'all need to git rid 'o that crap and go back to original recipe right thar in cedar flat, mathers market:
back to the future with old gas | kval cbs 13 - news, weather and sports - eugene, or - eugene, oregon | news

This is the stuff I was tell'in ya about that the saw shop in lebanon was tell'in me about; and it ain't too hot to burn a piston.

Happy wood chukk'in :)

We've been runnin' "clear" from mathers market in cedar flat for nearly a year, bought about 30 gallons last October and filled all the portable cans for winter service. Stuff in the saw mix can was poured offat the same time at mathers. Same shit is in the garden tractor and the jd zeroturn mower, same shit is in my honda brush cutter and ryobi tiller. Had to flush the tank and carb on the tractor three months ago, full of water.

I picked up a 3 month old stihl from the dealer today (warranty repair) that they told me had water droplets in the carb pump diaphragm.

Got a kit for my seven year old o25 (still on original plug), kitted it this afternoon...same thing...water droplets in both diaphragms.

Then I kitted that stihl 361 that Mike came and picked up while yawl were jawwin' Saturday. He'd dumped the fuel and installed fresh tryin' ta git it started. No luck. The carb on the 361 today had the same thing, moisture drops in the carb. That fuel came from a different can but was filled at the same time as all my cans at mathers. So...three stihl carb overhauls in two days, all runnin' clear.

The fuel for both saws has been coming from the same can kept in a shed, use stihl oil (sealed bottles) only which comes treated with sta-bil, and I run an extra dose of sta-bil in the can mix also. Got the remainder of the mix poured up in a sealed jar so I can see the separation when it settles.

So moisture is condensing in the "clear" tank at mathers (or rain water gets in when the tank is filled from the transporter, very common). Any gasoline blend will absorb atmospheric moisture or condense moisture, but e10 is far worse than previous gasahol blends.

Wow, sorry to hear you're having so many problems. I had julia pick up the "clear premium" at nw solvents on chambers in eugene. It was around $6/gal, but I have had zero Problems with it since I got it last September. Prior to the latest e10 fuel rules, I went with the saw shop's advice on the premium fuel. I haven't been kind to the saw in that I haven't put a carb kit in or have ever drained the fuel system since I bought it in '84. I have maintained everything else on it. To date all the 2 cycle equipment has been running fine.

Enjoyed my visit to binder u and meeting IHSTO folks.

Learned some more -- and played "fetch" with a very persistant maxwell...

We returned home about 4:30 pm yesterday. We drove east to hood river and then "over the mountain" to bend and klamath falls. Actually, the sun was shining on mt hood -- very pretty view. And, the fresh snow was still clinging to the branches of the trees.

Managed to not participate in the very serious "revenoo sharing" programs in or (and CA).
