Work day/Walnut Creek/Swap/May 14

another good work day. Thanks for everything cliff. The facilities were ideal for us. You were a good host.
Thanks mocha for bringing cliff into the picture.
little activity in the early morning, but by noon we were in full swing.
23 of us stopped by: - bill, Rich, doc, cary, cliff, john, Joe m, jon, dustin, cheese, ramon, rob, jayson, steve, mocha, jared, dan, carl, kevin, sean, justin, dave, scott,
kinda surprised that there was no welding this time. It’s always been a major draw. Last year Joe s had projects to work on all day long & the hayward harvester guys were busy as well. Other than cliff’s many welders, dan brought his portable unit. Tube bender sat idle.
more social this time – just hangin’ out.
Rich borden followed doc to cliff's. Rich had some final electrical work to do on his camper before heading off to canada.
kevin finished changing out his front end gears by 9:30; right before the rain began. He and stacy share the honor of “last off the hill.”
some of mocha and cliff’s Friday-night-bbq-@-the-shop-friends hung out with us for the day and evening. I enjoyed meeting the group mocha :icon_cool:
the bbq was quick n easy. The Friday nighter’s grilled up some leftover steak.
sean told me he and kate are expecting a little sister for ben
dave showed up mid-afternoon after his driving skills competition at conway. He was real proud placing 3rd.
glad I didn’t wear shorts and had sweats on for the day. It got real chilly when the wind kicked up.
This was such a hit with us, we're gonna do this again with cliff.
I think it was about 10:30 when we called it a day and left. Rain started coming down pretty steady by then. Dave, jayson, rob, ramon, kevin, mocha and I closed it down. I dropped mocha off at his house.

Kevin here - it was really cool getting to know the crew, I had a blast, learned a ton, and got 'er done thanks to you all. I couldn't have done it without so many of you so thanks again! I'll be back next time, but with less work to do and more beers to drink...

Mike/cary kudos on setting this up, cliff his a first rate shop and is one good dude. It's just plain more fun wrenching around good people like him.

To help his shop get off the ground it would be cool if we could all give him a strong yelp rating. This can really help small businesses. Just hit this link, it's easy (at least compared to putting in new gears...)

Yep, it was a good time. We’re getting better at this. We had a good time hangin out.
It’s always cool putting the forum name together with the face.

Kev, even though you were among some real talented people, but I’ll bet it was still good to have tim there...:ihih:

I got my t/c installed but on the way home when the truck would coast it made a horrible grinding I did some diag and it sounds like its my tranny im going to pull the tranny cover and have a tranny or rob listen as I drive lol

Cliff wants to have another work day next month!

I told him the way we work on stuff/have to save our nickels & dimes, we should probably have an end of summer/fall day.
