I think we all had a good time yesterday. Definitely more organized this time…more prepared. Lot’s got done. More welding this time…Joe was f****** busy. Good thing jayson brought his welder for his and rob’s projects.

Joe – it was your off day. You put in a full day plus. Thanks dude.
Randy – thanks for lunch.
Craig gets the long distance award.

...we used joes welder anyway thanks for the help and lunch guys

I could have used my bfh today.

Several folks asked why my Scout wasn't there..

This is what I've been working on in the driveway:

rear shift Ford NP205 (flipped):

It will be mated to a sm465/np241 once my doubler arrives.
Today I pressure washed both:

Here is my d60, on new to me 44044s.
Keeping with the overbuild theme, today I made steering linkage from 1.5" .25 wall tube. :yikes:

It was a busy day for sure. I got up at 6am to finish up the onboard welder brackets for sean and cheese (Craig) I pick up some receiver tubing for cheese, to mount his winch. We cut and welded in the mounts front and rear. Plus d rings front and rear. Replaced the front brake hard line and made a steering plate. So Craig and Craig got a lot done to the cheese. Sean rig, made a frame plate to cover last summers trail damage.

Got to use one the baddest ass saw I've ever used. Joe had this milwaukee saw that cut steel like butter. I cut a 2.5x2.5x.25 receiver tube in half. Plus made sean frame plate. Thanks randy for the food.
Thanks Joe for the metal, and all the welding you did.

Everyone was busy the whole day going from one thing to the next. Good times for sure. Pick up some good ideas for my rear bumper from dave too.

Thanks for putting this on cary.

This is why you need to add a drain hole to your bumpers and sliders. I was an 1" deep inside the bumper

The scrubs were left by me for sure. Probably the striker also. Just put them on the shelf and if they are still there the next time I'm over I'll pick em up. I won't lose any sleep over it.

As Craig said it was a busy day, but there was a lot accomplished none of which would have gotten done without parts / help from Craig and all day welding by Joe... Thanks a bunch to both of you!!! (I used Joe's saw too and it is bad ass, I've never cut through metal like that... As easy as cutting a 2 x 4... Cool:cool:

randy, thank you for feeding everyone lunch!

Cary, thanks for setting this up and letting us use your shop!

Good times!!

Yesterday (amongst other things) I got the bumpers sprayed the same color and tested out the winch motor which works! Just need a $30 gear and $6 shim to make her work ;-)

thanks again!

Cheers,
c-

This is one of my favorite days on the babs calander, good times for sure. Thanks for hosting cary. Great chili-dogs randy.

Joe welded up my frame like a pro, thanks man. And thanks Craig for fabbing up the brace. Tell you the truth, I think you were looking for an excuse for using Joe's metal saw. That thing was slick.

Hey silverscout, I just put it together, you're the guy that bought that swing out tire carrier from me about 10 years ago, right?

I'm a bit slow sometimes.

Hey bart. I did buy your bumper. In fact, its still on my Scout as we speak. IH Parts America made some modifications and additions but it is, essentially, the same bumper. I have the rear tire carrier but its only installed for special occasions.

Looks like everyone had a blast! Bummed I missed it, wedding stuff weekend away for us. I'll shoot for the September work day for sure!

Take care everyone,

ang

Hey cary,

thanks for posting up pictures. Those of us who couldn't attend really appreciate it.
I love the mother-in-law seat that you installed on your flatbed.:icon_biggrin:
