I will make available my shop space for those members who would like to work on thier Scout inside, and out of the elements (rain or shine). Shop space is 2,600 square feet of open work area. For a taste of my shop, I have a few photos of part of the space in my build thread http://www.forums.IHPartsAmerica.com/readers-rides/6905-my-74-Scout-II..html. I have just about everything one would need to work on thier Scout. Inlcuding a tube bender, mig welder, plasma cutter, oxy-fuel cutting, drill press and of coarse hand tools(sockets and wrenches). One thing I don't have is an actual vehicle lift. Limited to a cieling highth of 11.5 feet.

Shop is located in richmond, CA. Near point richmond, a hop skip and a jump from the richmond/san rafeal bridge. For those who are enterested let me know and post up, and I'll send out more details as they come up. We could even fire up the bbq

excellent. A good start.

I’ll be coming up to say hi and introduce myself to some of you. I May get some of the guys down here to join me.

If you are going to hollister the following weekend, this is a good time to fine-tune a few items.

Bbq’s always work. We’ll get groceries late Saturday morning.

Let’s begin a head count.

Cool deal
I'll have the coals and both webbers ready, among others condements.

I'll be around and available from first thing Friday morning on through Sunday night. I May still have a little more finalization of my bumper fab on my own Scout, which won't be much work at all by then.

If any one needs to do tune ups - I have timing light and, oil changes, or what ever your needs might be. As scoutdude80 mentioned this would be a great time to get some wrenching maintenance done before ya head out to hollister the following week.

Here's something I should have mentioned. Wives and/or gf's and the youngens are welcome. Don't think this should be strictly just a guy thing.

For the youngens, I have an xbox 360 with some games and a playstation one. And across the street from the cave is a small community garden, that I May be able to gain access to for those who May wanna kinda hang out there. Plus, I have a bunch of dvd movies here that we can play.

Diablo offroad. Cliff hosted last May’s work day, even though he doesn’t own a Scout. Hind sight – cliff and the diablo crew wanted to party with us for the day. Cliff is a real close friend of mochamike. Good guy.

I met quite a few guys that live in the area that post here. It’s cool to put a screen name to a face. I look forward to meeting a few new folks next Saturday ya know?

O ok. Cool deal.

Indeed, it's always cool to actually put a face to the screen name. I too am looking forward to it. Even if we don't get any wrenching done, it's always cool to hang out eat, drink and be merry lol

Hey scooter!
Thanks for offering up your shop. Very kind of you. I hope you get a good turn out. I have to work Saturday so I will not be able to run up there. I hope you all have a great time!

 no problem
check back when ya get off work. Depends on how long we go and how many people show up, some of us May still be here. Depending on the details and how things go, I'm sure it wont be the last work day bbq here either. More details May be revealed at a later date on it.

Post up the address please. I would like to run up and check out da cave. Don't know how long I can stay, but I will see you on Saturday:icon_up:

I hope to join you all in the afternoon - I have patients until noon in san bruno so I'll see you around 1pm.

I need to reinforce my spring mounts on my 65 Scout 80. I'll have the metal but I don't weld. Can somebody weld them up for me?

To make things easier for all, I decided to post the address to da cave, which I added into my first post. Not sure why, but I May have been hesitant at first in doing so.

No problem. I have a 220v lincoln mig that I use all the time, for all the welding I've done so far on my 74 Scout (among other projects). Along with a 220v miller stick machine.

See ya here

we’ll pass the hat for lunch. For every dollar collected, a raffle ticket will be given. We’ll raffle off an ihon gift certificate and misc babs collectibles. After paying off all grocery expenses, the remaining cash will be raffled off and split between 2 tickets.

Bring your folding chairs.
