The R Series was built in the 50's and 60's.
Generally they had the Red Diamond in-line 6 cylinder gas engines.
However, some were equipped with in-line 6 cylinder diesel engines.
 
Do think the truck that op showed is a R-190 AWD ...
The heavy duty line of the R Series trucks stayed in production up to 1965, some sources say 72 was the last of the R's ... Do believe the 66 to 72 years were the R 200/230 models ...

Be safe to say that for the year model of the truck in question would be 1953 to 1965 ... ?
