Travelall axles under a Scout II, will it work?

I'm picking up a 73 Travelall 1210 4x4 soon and wondered if the axles would work under my Scout II. The t'all isn't here so I can't look at it very close and was wondering if anyone has tried this before. I know they're way wider and would need flares and probably spring over.
I'm pretty sure the divorced NP205 would not work but I could use the 392 with my existing 727/20 without too much hassle.

Width is an issue. The spring perches are SOA, but due to the different frame widths, they won't line up with the Scout springs and would have to be relocated. The axles out of the 1210 have 8 lugs. Your current axles are five lug, so what about wheels? Is the 1210 a drum/drum brake setup? How about your Scout? If '74 or newer, its a disk/drum setup. That would mean a proportioning valve and brake booster change. I think this would open such a can of worms for you that you'd never see the end of it. What are you trying to gain?
The divorced 205 tc won't work in the Scout. The 392 would swap in provided your current engine is an sv8 so that you can rob the necessary parts to make the 392 Scout friendly.

It has all 5 wheels present so that's covered. I didn't have anything specific in mind, just was wondering if it was possible of if it had been done before.

Mine has disc/drum but not sure what the 1210 has, I have not brought it home yet and didn't look at it very long when I bought it. Doesn't matter I guess, sounds like too much hassle. If I don't resurrect it (been sitting for 20 years) I'll at least use the 392 to replace my 345.

If I part it, anyone interested in the axles?

Well, there are plenty of scouts around with d60's under them from a variety of donor rigs that came with that axle. The reason for those swaps generally centers around extreme wheeling and the need for taller tires and beefier suspension systems. So its all been done, but usually not for shits and grins.

If you decide to sell or part the ta, there is a classified section at the bottom of this forum for that purpose.

The axles May be of interest to someone who wants to convert their 1960's style 6 bolt system to a 8 bolt system so they could get new brake parts and brake drums.

It has been done, the 1210 I had was a Dana 44 front and a Dana 60 rear and I put them under a Scout II. But nothing fits, it's all fabbed.

If you really wanted 3/4 ton stuff buying Chevy axles would be way cheaper once you start rebuilding. Just price brake rotors, calipers and pads for IH and Chevy and you will understand.

But it does have a cool factor of IH parts...

Yes, I have a 72 1210 3/4 truck w/ 8 lugs thats 2wd and I'm looking for a front diff, to replace the I-beam thats in there now. My problem would be shipping to Missouri and the price you are asking? I'm not sure but would the gear raito be then same in my comparied to your rear diff,? And are you wanting to split them up? Also dose it have steel 16.5 wheels?

Gonna pick it up next week, I think I May just resurrect it to have a heavy duty tow vehicle. My 2wd 1110 May be sacrificed in order to do this one.

I have a Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 rolling chassie that I was thinking of using but I would be losing the 3/4 ton axle, I don't abuse my truck all the time and was woundering if this might be another alturnitive for me?. Has any one had problems in area?.

What year half ton? Early is a Dana 44 front and a 12 bolt rear. Pretty good!

But later are both 10 bolt axles and poor choice for anything...
