Trans deal

So, mr. Mayben, what's the going trade in for one of your 727's that's had all the vent work and such done. I have an IH 727 that wants rebuilt, I'm just not sure anyone up here is going to jump at the notion of doing the machine work for a price I can live with. Haven't had the best of luck with some of the locals. Two of 'em really hacked up the c6 in our race truck, and just try to find anyone that ain't afraid of bmw's and saab's. Talking IH to these guys just guys the old dear in the headlights response...:sosp:

Not sure when or if mr mayben will be back around. It maybe one of those things you May need to call up IHPA and see what they say. Eventually, I'll be looking into having a 727 rebuilt in my 72.

I've done several successful rebuilds including the vent relocation procedure. It isn't that difficult if you've got the tools, the time, the literature, and the patience. Trouble is, my permanent residential status is going to be up in the air here pretty shortly and I won't have the handy gee-rodge setup that I have now. Like scooter mentioned, I believe IHPA does or at least did offer a trans rebuild service that iirc involves them shipping a completed unit plus a core charge which would be refunded upon receipt of your serviceable core. Call for availability and pricing. Another possible option to investigate might be with bill hamilton, who is the efi mod here and vendor of hamilton efi kits. I know he's pretty handy on these units and lives up in wa state somewhere.
