Hello all! New to the forums here!

I have to get these 2 scouts out by the end of the month. Here is a little background on the vehicles...

One Scout is a 1977-78 rallye model white in color with a 304. The second is a 1976-77 Scout travler with a sd Nissan non turbo diesel. Both of these belonged to family members, the rallye was my grandfathers and the diesel was my uncles. I have a lot of found memories as a child with these. I can remember being in the rallye Scout when my grandfather turned around to grab something in the back and his big snow boots nailed the accelerator to the floor. Blowing something in the engine. It got towed to the place where it still is today and hasen't moved in 27 years or so.

They are in rough shape, have been sitting outside ever since I can remember. But, it was either I take them or they are going to get hauled of to the scrap yard. It's about a 4.5 hour ride one way and I will have to make 2 trips with the trailer.

I will try to take as many pics as I can and post them. I plan on doing the first trip sometime early this coming week as I am on vacation. It will be interesting to get these loaded on the trailer, the rallye is sunk into the earth almost up to the hubs. At any rate, it will be a fun little adventure and avoid these from going into a crusher!

I appreciate your sentimentality and eagerness. Could turn out to be rewarding for you. You'll definitely have some stories to share. I hope you have a capable winch on your trailer and a good, portable air compressor. If the tires will hold air long enough to power drag one up on the trailer, you'll be on a gravy train with biscuit wheels.

Here are the scouts. I have grabbed the orange diesel and am going back to get the white rallye this coming weekend. Both are in rough shape. The orange one is the worse of the two, but I think the diesel is really cool. The frames of both are actually in good shape. Not sure what I'm going to do with these yet!
