I was always planning on rebuilding the 392ic. I just decided to hold off until I had the funds to do it correctly. Im gonna go ahead and order all my stuff from IHPA come January when I have a new small shop to work in. :thumbsup:

I needed the 304 and trans and tires for many reasons. One...it was a mile away and I needed to save it. 2. I was told it had a good clutch. 3. It had that badass air compressor. 4 its an ihsv8. And I have a sickness

no a local shop here that races trucks is gonna let me have free range of their shop. And the transit bus repair place May let me bum some shop time because we dont have anything large enough to handle the loadstar safely or correctly.

If im gonna be building a tow truck I cant have her puking out on me half way to rmihr. So priorities have to shift until a project can be completed correctly
 
That compressor is a big plus. And the obsession sickness has already been surpassed.

I can relate to taking a different direction in priorities. Which is why it has been taking me so long with my 73 beast. The funds always seem to fall short for what needs to be done. Kinda why I have been spending time to repaint
 
Took me a while to find my thread. This is my baby. I love this truck. I knew I needed to remove part of the loadstars sides. But its been months here since anyone has been able to work outside. We get an ok week. Then heavy snow followed by weeks of sub zero temps. Well I finally got a good week so I rummaged up my trusty ol oxy/propane torch and proceded to light myself on fire. Somehow I also managed to remove the loadstars sides. Now I can work on extending the bed. Also. Engine parts are on da way! Woot woot.

I love engine parts. Nothing like the smell of metal and grease. And apparently burning hair. Seriously. I had to retire a beanie and a shirt today.

Woah lb you threw me for a loop there. Im like. How does he only have one post. I know hes posted before lol. Im not as sharp as I used to be.
