The "Re-Roll" Build

Found a pic of the one that started this whole thing. I got this Scout about 5 years ago, but misunderstood the description. There were holes cut out in the frame and it had no shackle perch's, the end of the spring was just up inside the frame. I dragged it around with me for awhile pilfering parts off it from time to time then finally selling it. But that short little stance it had stayed in my head and now I'm going to build it!

Since I got the new mounts I decided to put them in and found out why the po used the rectangle tube to mount the engine. I forgot that the 196 doesn't just bolt right into an 80 and has an interference issue with the firewall. So I ended up putting it back together the way it was and since it was "backyarded" the first time it took over 3 hours to finagle the engine in place to line up the 5 bolt holes in each mount doing 1 side at a time. I guess when I get to changing the axles and trans I will do the new mounts and attend to the firewall mod.
