Ok hears another thought what or how do I change the Scout II 727 tailhousing from the texas pattern to a round pattern??
So I can bolt up a different transfer case that has the round pattern say from a Ford...

I think fleck advertised this a few years back?

Iirc you need to swap stuff over from a dodge 727.
Not sure of the spline count though...
Ford might be a problem.
I know guys swap to the dodge 727 output/Dana 300 (Jeep).

I've done the Jeep and the dodge tailshaft swap.
Both work.

I still run the one in that write up.
The tranny and tc made it thru 3 years of travel and wheeling all over europe.

Got to digging through my parts today, looking for something didn't find it but I did find what appears to be a dismantled dodge 727, I did a little searching & found some pics on fleck's site, I think I can do this, well once I buy a rebuild kit & find the time....
I guess I'll get ahold of fleck when the time come to make sure I know what I'm doing????

Quote from bcb's page:
"the transmissions pictured in the following photos are 727 internationals. The difference being the tailshaft bolt up adapter. The one on the left looking from the back forward is a stock Scout 2 727 with the texas adapter and bullgear for the Dana 20. The one on the right has been converted to a 6 bolt up style transfer case. Case that have 6 bolt up patterens include the most common but are not limited to a Jeep Dana 300, Chevy/Ford np 205, or the np-203. The one picture will be going in my traveler with a Jeep Dana 300 (2.63:1 low range)."
