Sway Bar

How thick were the stock sway bars? Was thinking of doing this. Anyone have any pics??

About a 1/2" thick and the bar was about 3" wide and bolted between the front shackles. The bar is spring steel, so a piece of 1010 won't work.

Ihon has a large stock of used Scout II front "sway" bars along with inner shackle plates for mounting. And new bomb-proof extended shackles are in stock also complete with mounting tabs also.

Good point on the shackles mm, as the stock stuff is normally all worn out and generally unsafe.
