Steering column pointers needed

I have taken about a year to take my truck apart clean it up and hopefully get it back on the road soon. If you aren't familiar with my truck (knute) here are some specifics:
'72
travelette
was 2 wheel but it's in between being converted to 4x4
dually rear
Dana 44 front
Dana 60 rear
I purchased the kwickwire 22 circuit kit last year and currently have all the wires run through the firewall and the fuse box mounted under the dash. I have my service manual with the wiring schematics which I'm sure will help. I have been putting the wiring off for months telling myself that it's too hot in the shop right now, the grass needs to be cut, etc... Well, it's time to get back at the truck and get it on the road.
Looking at the wiring kit and the schematics, I'm not real sure how to wire up the blinkers hazards reverse lights indicator light etc. I know that the kit was set up for GM based applications but my '72 is the IH wiring setup. If anyone has done this and can lend some pointers I would greatly appreciate it. Remember to speak loud and slow, I'm not real smart and electrical work is far from being something that I'm familiar with.

Your IH truck utilizes a common saginaw steering column and wiring harness very similar to what is found in many GM vehicles of that era. Between the kit instructions and the fsm schematics, you should be able to figure out how things need to be routed without too much trouble. The power feed for the 4-way hazards, l/r directionals, and brake lights all must pass through the turn signal switch. If you get that switch circuitry wired properly, you've won more than half the battle.

I thought that this truck's column wiring was pre-GM steering. I know the column's wiring connector is a semi circular connector that doesn't look like those on my '73 or '74 travelalls.
I guess I just need to buckle down and start working on it.
