speedo cable replacement

I need to replace my broken speedo cable and was wondering how that thing is routed , and how hard it is to replace. Any info would be appreciated thanks

Specific routing depends on the vehicle. Usually it goes out from the instrument cluster through the firewall, under the cab, through the frame all the way to grandmother's house. Easy enough to trace if you get under the vehicle with a good light.
