Don't forget! It's crucial to attend the September 4th IHSTO meeting in order to vote for club officers. We gotta lotta momentum going now after the Binder Bee, so let's turn out and vote!

Carl will announce the new meeting location in the next few days...no matter where that venue is, we need to be there!
 
I needa absentee ballot dammit! Sailor jerry and I are gunna be cruzin' around ona house boat on lake crapsta that thurs thru sun. Huntin' fer two-legged deer.
 
Lameduck carl done come through with a new grubjoint for us to hang at on tha first Thursday of every month (except July and December). And if everyone shows up for the September meeting maybe we can convince him to not be a lameduck afterall!

Ain't really no further than tha trek ta woodburn for most folks...scruu the I-state, take tha backroads and see sum kuntry...a new route every month!

Yep, Mike is right. Everyone needs to be at the September IHSTO meeting. We will be taking nominations from the floor as well as those nominations that might be submitted ahead of time. As of now, I have none, zip, zilch. It's time for some new blood on the board, not that there is anything wrong with the old blood, but some of us would like a break.

I will be sending out a postcard generated by the usps and a mass email regarding the meeting location change, but don't hesitate to call or email those members you know of and let them know about the new site. After all, we all know how reliable the post office can be at times.

I am excited about the new meeting location, they sound really happy to have us, and I for one was getting tired of chinese. Looking at the menu I don't think I'll ever get tired of what they have to offer. Lets keep our fingers crossed that it will be a great fit for IHSTO.

As for me repeating my term....well I know it's tradition for the president to take two terms, it usually takes that long to dupe....I mean convince someone to take over. I don't even know if I'll have thursdays off in a few months and with my schedule irregularity for the first year of work once released from training, I just don't see it as a good idea. But who know what the future will bring.
 
Just to try and draw a few more people to this hangin, I'll donate a hood strut kit to be given away at this meeting. C'mon, I know everybody wants one!
 
While visiting ken roth on Friday night I took the family over to the homeplace to check the grub. Very good food and an incredibly clean and warm environment. For those of you who got used to chu's your in for a bit of a shock.

Menu is huge and varied.

Our first meeting at the home place was outstanding! We filled the room....the management never expected so many folks would show! A few glitches to work out for the future but overall a vast improvement from chu's, we'll have more tables and chairs for next month.

The new board of IHSTO was chosen tonite....

Carl wiese will return as el presidente/ chief dictator.
Lyle wiese will still guard the treasure chest.
My mealticketmomma, kathy schnobrich, iz gonna keep notes from now on as secretary.
John and loretta donnelly will co-direct the activities/events domain.
Dan hayes will continue as trail boss

it was great to see ernie bisio back in action and looking better than ever! No way ta tell he had been onna extended vacation! He even drove hizownself to tha meeting and parked his sii right in tha front door!

A few new folks again so we're still growing, and some folks we don't see often enuff like john watson and monte's bride who points pink down tha mudtrack! Thanks to everyone for showing up and taking part!
