Preferred method of posting pics here?

Over the years I have noticed some folks have trouble posting pics in their threads here.

This is the way I do it:

I got a free photobucket.com account...I upload photos to photobucket (usually jpeg files sized 800x600 pixels)...then I copy the photobucket img info into the text of my posts....walla pics are seamlessly in my threads

perhaps there is a better method or reasons why I should not do it this way???

I guess one major flaw in this method would be if photobucket went under.

I do me some research now and then and I do hate coming across posts where the photos are linked to something like photobucket but the accounts / albums / pictures are no longer available.

Until Jeff begs us not to upload any more pictures I believe the best option is to attach them to your forum post using the forum tools.

In this way the pictures will truly belong to the post until either the forum shuts down or the server run's out of space. And I have proof that this forum can stomach some pretty scary pictures.. Think mayben in a birthday suit!

I agree with drew. Photo post accounts come and go but the form photos will remain as long as the form exists. Keeps all of the pieces in one neat little package.

I don't know if there is an easier way of achieving this, but like most of us, when I attach a pic, I don't just want it to be a clickable link at the bottom of the post, I want the image to display in the body of the post. So what I've done to achieve this is go into my post once I've uploaded the attachments, open them in a new window, copy that url, and then edit my original post with a copy and paste. This seems a bit convoluted, but its the only way I've been able to accomplish what I want to accomplish. Am I missing an easier way?
