Once they were tacked in place Darren spent the better part of a day welding them completely on.

So is the lower bead even touching the frame rail? Or are the only welds holding that plate to the frame the holes and the upper beads?

Are those 1.5" holes, like 8" on center?

From what I recall they are welded in the corners thru proper exposure to all three pieces and proper penetration. I do not recall what the hole size and spacing was. This vehicle will be back in California at the Sierra Fall Rallye next month. You can always come to the show to look things over there.
