I'm interested in the tailgate. I'm located in reno but hope to make a trip to IH only noth in the very near future to buys some parts. Maybe we could meet up?
Thanks
owen

1) rear bench seat looks to be in decent shape. The three I have are fairly worn out and whooped.

2) I May wanna get that driver side outer fender while I'm at it. The one on my 73 has the normal rust rot between the door and wheel well.

3) how's the windshield and it's frame work? I'm looking into rebuilding my 74 barrel rolled Scout at some point. I have one that a friend gave me a couple weeks ago, but the window frame in my newly acquired 73 is a total rust bucket and rotted out right above the wiper motor

4) also, I be enterested in the steering column.

If I'm not working over time next Friday, I am considering heading up that way for a parts run at ihon

The bench seat, windshield frame, and column aren't spoken for at the moment. I am checking to see if the front drivers fender isn't spoken for yet as I had someone ask about it a couple days ago.... I will let you know on that. Concerning the windshield frame, it looks to be in good shape and no visible rust to be seen. I would want $80. The column has been hacked at the ignition tumbler/switch area and the po's were using the rod to start it... $20 for the whole thing. It is not a problem to take them to the shop for pickup. Let me know. Thanks.

Cool deal. Was hoping to find a decent column for a direct swap into my 73, so I will hold off on that. The one in my 73 has a tilt and a cruise control turn signal switch, which I believe not to be stock, if I'm correct.

I normaly have fridays off, which is the best day for me to drive up there, unless we're working over time. And I wont know that till next week. I'm hopeing that the driver side fender aint spoken for, other wise I'll order up a patch panel to fix/replace the typical rust rot between door and front wheel well.

How's the condition of the top and passenger side fender? That is if they aren't spoken for. My top in the 73 is a total rust bucket

Mike,

what's the story with the auxillary tank? Is it homemade, might be interested if it's functional. How many gallons?

Thanks
Matt

Matt,

just yanked it out and I can hear some rust/debris inside. It seems to be well built and I think I remember hearing about an aftermarket tank like this being made back in the day, but there are no manufacturer markings anywhere... The tank appears to be well built and specs out at 18-19 gallons. $20 and it yours. Thanks.

Michael

My traveler has a fuel filler on pass side that goes to no where in the interior. When I saw that pic of the aux gas tank I thought that must have been what is supposed to be in mine? My filler looks factory

I was going to come up and get my parts tomm but I guess the flares are on back order till next week or the next. I still want the tailgate so if ya wanna hold it for me that would be cool but if you want to sell it before than I understand.
Thanks
owen

Not a problem, I will hold it for you. Let me know a couple days in advance when you are coming up and I will get it pulled and take it to the shop. Thanks.

Michael

Yep, I got the tailgate pulled and in the back of the truck. Unloaded the flares today and figured you would be by the shop pretty quick!:icon_mrgreen:

Hey there. Thanks for the quick response. Will that pedal assembly work for an 1980 Scout II? If so I would love to get that from you. I am in scotts valley, CA. 95066. Just let me know how much you want.
