Oil out the dipstick??

Hey guys!!

Anyone ever had oil coming up out of their dipstick?

I have a 73 345 in a s2 and the oil level reads right at the high line on the dipstick.

What in the world?

Yes, replace t pcv valve and clean flame arrester on the valve cover with carb cleaner.

How embarrassing. I should have spent 5 min of thought on this before posting. I went directly to "this must be some crazy IH problem".

If the problem persists with a clean and functional ventilation system, you're looking at a more serious condition. Search 'blow-by" resulting from worn or damaged piston rings and/or cylinder bores.
