Since nobody knows when the snow is going to get here, was thinking of having a NorCal Scouts gathering out at prairie city some time in January. I believe they recently did a lot of work to the ohv section out there (looks kinda fun...youtube has a bunch of vids). Could be a decent meet and greet/bbq for anybody interested in checking out the group. Post up if you're interested and weekends that work for you. Babs guys are always welcome to come on over and hang out.

Truck has been sitting tooooo long :(, I need to put it in 4wd :gringrin:

I'd be interested, but have never been to prairie city. I've been going to the IHSFR the last three years and would like to do some 4wd with some other Scout guys. I'm in fair oaks.
 
Sounds like tons of fun, I doubt the Scout will be ready but I would be down to come out and hang out.
 
Post up some dates and if the daughter is healthy we would love to tag along and try to get the truck dirty
 
I would be interested in going. But, I wouldn't be able to drive up there untill the last weekend in January. Like the 27th through the 29th. My current Scout in its current condition wont make it. And I'm looking into getting another one soon, to replace it. Hopefully in the next few weeks I will be mobile once again

Ok at bit late, as most won't see this, but Sunday January 1st is it.

Jerermy (Scout 800) says he going out there, I said I would go. I called Matt and he said he would go.
Jesse if he gets home after the parity.

I will turn on the ham 146.805 con repeater

I plan to hang out for a while as the weather is going to be great.

I've just got to unload some cement I bought. And throw in some tools and I should be able to come.
 
I should be out there by about 11 am.

I'm need to pack up some bbq stuff and a few tools.

Ok, so we went out on the 1st to check the place out. Plenty of things to do for both hardcore and stock rigs. We were there for almost 4 hours and didn't hit every part of the park. Since saturdays are not good for me this month, thought we might shoot for Sunday jan 15th. Depending on where you work, you might get Monday off (mlk day). Let me know if this date works. Once we decide on a date, we can figure out the bbq stuff.
 
I missed out last time, but definitely would like to go on the 15th. Please keep posting info on the time and what to bring. This would be my first time at prairie city.
 
They have bathrooms, and some tables. I normally pack stuff to drink, I.e. Water, coke, ect. Snack foods, bbq stuff. I like hot dogs or sausages as you can hold them with a bun.
I'll pack my gas bbq and your welcome to used it.
A fold out chair is handy too.

In the motorcycle staging area they have nice flush toilets and water. Its right next to the 4x4 area.

The park rangers are right there keeping tabs on people, so I would suggest non alcoholic beer if you want a cold one.

The weather could bring rain before then, but since we had none in a long time, mud will be a non issue. They have a mud pit. Some cool mud holes too, but I hate cleaning up afterwards so I just watch others:gringrin:
 
I am in! Missed last weekend because I was not sure if they were open. This time I am not holding back Craig. :gringrin:
time to get my rig some practice time before hitting the con in the spring.
