No Snow How About Prairie City?

Sounds like we might have a decent size group. Here is the link to the park: prairie city svra. I'm going to get out there around 11:00 and should be there the rest of the day. Craigs got a bbq, and I plan to bring one too. So bring something to toss on, I will also have an ice chest of drinks. Craig mentioned earlier lots of rangers looking for a reason to stop you, so alcohol May not be the best idea if you are driving. Craig and I will figure out where we should set up base in the park and post up where that will be. It will be in the 4x4 obstacle course area, just not sure where yet. Hope it doesn't rain, but if it does I will have an shade structure with me.
 
Will be setup in the offroad course below the hill climbs. If anybody sees this post up if you are still coming out. Should be there around 11 or so.
 
Tiff and I will be there along with richard and his Scout and my nephew is coming in a yota. Our napa sales rep is also planning on being there sometime during the day on his own day trip
 
I'll be there! I washed the Scout today and put gas in it. Just gotta through some stuff in the ice chest and I'll be ready!
 
Headin up in the morning... Dave perez May join me for the ride, and since it is 20 min from my brows house, gonna grab him too. See you all around 11:30 - noon.

Im in the parking lot the park is closed for a motercycle race. Were going to hang out here at the guard gate see who showes up and maby head someware els . I think chese and IH air are on the way .

Dave & I are stopped in vacaville as we heard the park is closed... We are awaiting further instructions (e.g. Where you all headin instead??)

Too bad about the park being closed. Maybe there could be a re-schedule of this trip

yesterday was my b-day and had to work 8 hrs over time on Friday. So I haven't done much of anything all weekend. I'm here in my man cave today doing a little re-organization of shelving.

Next weekend, during the santa cruze meet-n-greet on Saturday, I should have a rig to actually drive afterwards.
 
Too bad the park was closed. They have a race board, which list races, but this was not listed. Tons of people beside us did not know either. It was constant traffic in and then right back out. Somebody talked with the ranger and they suggested rattle snake bar. So we head up there only to fine its closed for the season. Then we headed up to mammoth bar ohv, once we got there the said they have 90 vehicles in the park and we might not find a place to park. Ohv meaning motor cycles and quads only.

So we went down the road a couple miles to the confluence of the north fork and middle fork of the American river. Hike down to the river and Matt started the bbq. So it was more of a road trip adventure then an off road adventure.


When working on rob's Scout my tool bag went missing. I hope somebody finds it in there Scout. It's a blue bag label wrenches.
 
Sorry the park was closed. I had checked the site a few times and didn't see anything mentioning the park was going to be closed. Oh well at least we got to hangout and bs, but felt bad for the guys that drove in from out of town. If anybody wants to try again post up and we can work out a date. Will call the park to verify it will be open. Might rain soon so maybe there will be some snow.

Craig, did anybody have your tool bag?
 
It was odd, I put the wrench back into the bag and zipped it up. It was sitting on the white line. We talked a couple minutes more and when we were leaving I noticed the bag was not there. I thought for a minute maybe I put it in the Scout? But it was not there. Andy help me look around too. I got home and clean out Scout and it was not to be found.
