new points, no spark...

All right scoutboy, got the ballast resistor, gonna install it now an just bypass the old resistance wire. Is there a specific spot on the starter solenoid I should tie in the 12 v wire to the coil? Or should I use my tester to determine the hot spot with key in start position?

Bill, got the message on dist install. Thanks for taking the time to type it all up! Should be here tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait!!!
 
I puzzled it out!! I'm glad to have another little bit fixed and correct. Now I just need the distributor!! Ignition system will then be completely new.
 
New distributor installed!! Went in without a hitch, than you mr bennett for your suggestions. Starts better than ever and I haven't seen the tach so steady, ever!
Scoutboy, thank you for your help as well!! The wiring corrections have deffinately helped with my starting issues!

Next up is the braking system!!
